Oddly enough, I've just gotten a first hand lesson in how this can be so!

Last month, I purchased a "refurbished" computer item from a seller who has GREAT feedback.

The item did not work....

In my experience, sales to a retailer are "the same" as sales to any customer in that sense: the person who bought the book from the publisher can do with the book as they please in terms of keeping...

Man, I was just a kid working at Waldenbooks when that came out... and then the Dark Tower 4 promo booklet was bundled with the double book sets when they ran out of night lights... and then people...
