BBB.
Great book, but the ending didn't make me REALLY want to continue with the series. Yeah, the book itself did keep me pretty interested, but the plot wasn't particularly strong, imo.

Definitely one of my favorites, and I'm always having to reread it just to revisit the characters, but I think I've only read all the way to the end a couple of times. The ending is just...I...
BAA--I felt like it dragged a bit at points throughout. But great read, and I woulda given it higher than an A in character development if I could--for me, that was the real strength of this book.
Do I think I should bury my (hypothetical) kid in Pet Semetary? Absolutely not. Death isn't something we should mess with like that.
Do I trust myself to adhere to my principles if my (again,...
I love this series. Though I've only read the first 2. Reminds me that I need to check the library for the 3rd one...
I've never read any of his books, but I'm chiming in b/c I am INTERESTED in reading some of his stuff. I've loved several movies based on his books (Total Recall--had no idea this was PDK, Minority...
Yeah, go with the unabridged version, for sure. Haven't read the cut version, but wouldn't trade the uncut version for a second. Love pretty much all the "added" stuff, plus, long or not, it feels...
Yeah, but that car that sat there was SCARY!
Hey Whiskey, welcome!
I liked Lisey's story, though I don't think it's among his best. Like someone else mentioned, I think the storyline about the dad and brother was the best part!
I also...
Brilliant idea. I'll play! :) I know I won't remember everything I've read so far this year, but I'll try.

I enjoyed reading this book, but wouldn't put it among King's best, honestly. It was a great page turner, and kept me involved, but I don't remember feeling...moved by it, if that makes sense. And...
I loved Duma Key...a little different, and I think I had a tricky time getting into it too, but by the end, I was very hooked.
I never could get into the Regulators, but I loved Desperation.
I'm only on the 3rd volume of the Transmet series. "War of the Bastard" But I am just loving it so far. Bit of a newb to comics/graphic novels. I popped my cherry on Watchmen after I saw the movie...
Who is your favorite minor character?
Jake's English teacher. Her comment on his essay was just win.
Name three memorable moments?

I felt bad that I gave it a B for ending. Primarily b/c I can't name WHY I didn't like the ending...it just felt like such a let down. But maybe (in retrospect) it was supposed to. Like after all...
Yeah, I'm trying to be tough too, but this got straight A's from me. And, in thinking about it more, I think I need to add this to my fave's list, b/c this really is one of my favorite King novels. ...
I'm jealous turtlex!!! So very jealous. I've never seen her live (though I was lucky enough to see Kristin Chenoweth live, once).
Ooh, that's one of my favorite SK novels, Tito.
King is the only author I know who can write from the perspective of a dog, a scared kid, a greedy man, or a gossipping woman, with just as much...
BrownesChilde, I don't agree with you about the language (I love the exploration of language that can develop in a family), but I DO agree about the plot...mostly. The book left me feeling all moved,...
