Best product for protecting the early Signet paperbacks. The Brodart equivalent? Does someone make cover protectors for small paperbacks?

Aside from those novels with a # line, specific gutter code or those stated as "First Edition," is there anything about them that's differentiates...
I suppose I should clarify. What is one book you expect to appreciate in value the most from this point forward that would not be considered an exorbitant purchase?
