I picked up the new illustrated edition of AGoT for 50% off issue price. I'm not a big enough fan to splurge on the first edition but for $25 this was a no-brainer. The illustrations are great.

That seller probably has an in with SubPress. I didn't click on every auction but all of the ones I did click on were PC copies. She had a lettered The Shining last night. PC copy, $1200 BIN.

They probably figure most people take it off to read them. It's not meant for long term protection, just keeps the book pristine in storage and on shelves. No latte fingerprints on my books please!

New GRRM (and Gaiman's Neverwhere story as well) ASoIaF story in an anthology called Rogues coming out this June. He just posted an excerpt from the new book online.

Any chance they'll do a full, matching cover set of hardcovers when the series are completed? Something similar to Harry Potter sets comes to mind. Just looking for thoughts n' stuff.
