Very cool.
Lol little
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great clean presentation, Kris. Your EOTD is displayed nice. A particularly special one?

I think you have an IT fixation:tongue:
I replaced the top two shelves in my case with glass shelves, then added LED lighting from above. Makes for a nice "trophy" display for unique books, and allows light down through the second shelf.
My Ikea cases are holding up fine, and they look quite acceptable. They were a bit of a PITA to build. Because they are narrow and tall, it's crucial that they be anchored at the top to a wall stud...
Took a couple of calls, but they are sending me 60 pins.
Easier said than done. I'm in an apartment with massive windows (like 11'x9') in more than one room that hold book cases.
Very easy for a professional. Expensive though.
The straps are the best. They work on different cases, that may or may not be close enough to the wall to use the old fashioned L-bracket. Important thing is to attach them to stud (should be easy...
Silly (to some), but cheap...Secure the large pieces to studs in the wall. In California an earthquake could topple everything. Let alone some child somehow pulling the thing over.
$20 for peace...
No bowing. Had mine packed with books for ~10 years+.
Long ago...
UV coatings help quite a bit, but direct sunlight for more than a few minutes a year is a no-no. Constant bright ambient light over the course of years can be deleterious.
Not mine, I just showed the case allasorte had a link to.
I'm redoing my cases and hope to have pics soon.

I've had mine for over 5 years and they are as good as new.
Takes up too much space. Put them in a shoebox under the bed....
Not sure. I seldom see one for sale. I know when I posted mine several members here bought one.
Added my new Doctor Sleep S/L to the case.
