Has there been any word at all about Night Shift yet? That's one I would love to get, especially if we get bonus stories like Weeds and The Crate.
A "Big Surprise" would be the original short story draft of Carrie that was famously saved from the trash.
Examples would be innumerable, because I agree, the font and the cover altogether is not very good (even if the art itself may be fine). Browsing books on Amazon's top lists I'm not seeing any cover...
I don't think my own personal qualms with the artwork have much to do with the art itself but the overall design, including fonts and their placement.
I love the first edition cover of Christine. And for that matter Pet Sematary.
I wonder how hard it really is to hire a good art designer. Sorry but those look very amateurish.
Most small press editions often have sub-par covers (this includes the hallowed Grant).

I'm not sure I understand the trend of having limited editions necessarily be illustrated. If we are talking fantasy, that at least makes some sense. But why do realistic novels like The Shining, Pet...
