I had no idea (or perhaps no recollection) Flanagan was doing The Fall of the House of Usher - great news.
Is it the case that Flanagan's DT was never actually assigned to a channel/platform/service?
Joe Hill better do it.
Not a bad idea.
For any production house/studio/channel that seeks a stand-out long-term property (GOT/fantasy), there is little reason not to do something like DT (if they seek such a property, they've already made...
Okay, but then why aren't TPTB all over this like white on rice?
It's like a curse; often, people who say "hey! we can do this!" are the same ones that say "hey! let's fuck it up!"
You're right on all points.
"Netflix + Flanagan" does fit the profile of a successful environment for DT; for us, we go back to waiting and hoping...
Jerome Flynn - he's good.
This column reads like it was written by an AI program (and not a good one).
See this:
Is the pilot actually done?
Being raped in the eye would be better than the film
Actually, I'd take another go-round with the awful film...
I have to think someone out there will see the value in producing this, but...
Yes, because nothing's riskier than a Stephen King property right now...contemptible fools!
When the audience loves the source material and rejects the adaptation, yeah - they know something. They can't make the movie, but they can point the way.
I finally got around to seeing the Dark Tower movie. Some thoughts:
It now amuses me that any of us thought casting a black Roland would lead to continuity/logic issues for potential later films...
That seems backwards?
I see what you mean, but it was just for laughs anyway (I wouldn't want either anywhere near DT).
I was hoping for Costner as Roland and Andrew Garfield as the MiB, but hey.
I saw Strike in Nightflyers, which seemed like a decent show until it revealed itself to be a total turd at the very end - but I digress.
Strike was good; let's hope this works out.
