Saw that yesterday. Loved it! Can't wait for Season 3 to start.
I've absolutely adored Better Call Saul so far. I love how they've been able to keep the spirit of Breaking Bad without making a carbon copy of it. The show feels like its own entity.
That said, this is the season where Better Call Saul really turns the corner and takes off.
Agreed. MY ONLY issue with it is.. we know where it is going. I really can't get past that. Like with Rogue One... I knew the outcome (really liked it but it held back me loving it). WE know Gus dies, we know Walter will show up but is doomed. Why hasn't Jesse showed up yet? He will I am sure. I think I would have rathered the show start after the end of Breaking Bad so we are all in the dark of where it is going.
I love it myself even if we do know where it leads.
We might yet still get to see a post-Walt show. Vince Gilligan is smart, he laid the seeds for this possibility by giving us crumbs of Saul's life after the events of BB in the form of those black and white sequences.
At any moment of their choosing, TPB can opt to tie up the prequel story line and pursue a story taking place after the events of the original show.
They're just bidding their time..
Season 3 premieres tonight! :D
I'm all over it!!!!
i sure love this show!
I love Mike -- I don't think I'd have the guts to stand under a car held up by a forklift, though! Whoa. His trick with the tracker was clever.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that Mike Ehrmentraut (Jonathan Banks) might be the greatest supporting character of all time.
Watching him meticulously, systematically go through the process of figuring out how to turn the tables on his would be pursuers is mesmerizing to watch.
I'm excited for Gus, but I'm worried that his inclusion will overshadow other story arcs. Don't get me wrong, I love that they got BB's all time great villain in the show, but it's time for others to shine. Idk, we'll see.
I agree. He's easily one of the best supporting characters of all-time. I could not take my eyes off of him that entire episode. The funny thing is that some people would tell you those scenes were boring. For those that feel that way, I just shake my head.
I have confidence that they will handle Gus in the proper manner.
No. Gus is the best Breaking Bad villain and it's not even close.
Yeah, I'd lean this way. Tuco was great too, but he's not Gus.
I just realized something today. I went to get gas and even though my car doesn't have a gas cap, I couldn't help but think of Better Call Saul. It's just like how I think of Breaking Bad every time I see a box cutter.
I think it was spelled "Tuco", but I agree, Gus wasn't the worst and to be a little meta-physical, Walter was the best villain, no? On the flip side I suppose you could make a good argument for the other cartel heads and even Saltamacca (sp?) taking into account his entire career.
