In order to get a gun in our state, you have to go to the police station and fill out a form. They check you out and give you a white card. With that white card you can buy as many guns or hand guns you want in one year.
I have a rifle for deer hunting (which I never go any more), a shotgun for shooting pheasants and clay pigeons at a range-which I have not gone in three years, and a Glock 19 handgun to go target practice with a friend of mine who is a police officer. He always wanted me to go and I had my white card and bought the Glock. I only use it for target practice.
The right to "bear arms" is in our constitution and I personally agree also-guns do not kill people, people do. That is true. It just seems like there are more crazy people now a days. I used to have road rage on the streets from what I may have called idiots or flipped them off. You do not dare to do that now because anyone could pull a gun on you. Minneapolis has its share of killings every year. Our city-Apple Valley- I think had two murders in 20 years. It has become so bad when someone kills someone then themselves, I also ask-"Why did you just not kill yourself"? Why harm others?
The guy today killed his mother and then the innocent children, then himself. A horrible tragedy. In Minnesota, if someone comes into your house, you have a right if you feel threatened to shoot them.
WHat happened a few weeks ago however is that a guy was being robbed by two high school kids 17 and 18 years old. He not only shot the kids but then proceeded to execute them with shots to the head.
Our society has just lost so much over the years. People run red lights all the time. Simply no respect anymore.
SO many issues in society now, today was simply horrible. No words can describe it.
