I gotta go with Kingdom Come. It's one of my absolute favorites and, OH... I nominated it!!:P

Besides, it's a great story, and the absolute best use of Captain Marvel that I have ever read.

I hear ya, man, but 300 is just so visual with it's storytelling...

... not that Kingdom Come isn't ( I mean, it's Alex Ross ), but still.

I voted for Locke & Key. Easily one of the best titles out right now. Joe Hill's giving his old man some tough competition in the writing department nowadays...

Oh I agree with you about the visuality of 300 Pam. The story is a little sparse compared to the depth of Kingdom Come though. Not knocking the story, it is one of the classic stories of my life. It's right up there with the Greek Myths, The Illiad, and The Odyessy and one of the tales I loved reading about as a kid, but still 300 is a fairly one dimensional tale while Kingdom Come is a story of gods, pain, and redemption.

Both are very adult tales and excellent examples of great storytelling blended with stupendous visuals.
