I'll never, ever again... (Ways movies change the way we see the world)
Every once in a while something will happen in a film that changes the way we see the world. Everytime we do that thing we saw in that movie, we think of that scene.
There are two recent ones that come to mind for me.
I will never again listen to Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys without thinking of Us.
Thanks to the film "Waiting", I will never get an attitude with my server or chef. When I was a child, my mother could never go to restaraunt without complaining about something with her meal. It haunts me thinking about all the nasty shit we were probably subjected to

Best use of Good Vibrations is this. Not only do I think of this scene when I hear the song, but I also think about the song whenever I need tech support.

I will never again stir liquid in a cup without thinking of Get Out.
Not sure why I chose two Jordan Peele films.
This, totally! Also, both are among the best films I have seen in last few years.

Will never hear the sound of chainsaw without thinking of the TCMassacre.
Last summer - seriously - was at the cemetary, the Alexandro-Nevskaya Lavra, the oldest in our city, historical and what not. My greatgrandma is buried there. It was a weekday, early morning, and there was not a soul (living, i mean). The cemetary is overgrown and half-ruined, with wild vegetation and them old, dilapidated sepulchres. I was quietly tending greatgrandma's grave, and heard this unmistakable sound. In the empty cemetary. With zero visibility - because of the plants - beyond nine foot distance.
(of course, they were only the guys from the monastery sawing a tree that had fallen during the hurricane the day before. But before I found them, I had had plenty of time to think about... things)

Singin' In The Rain after I saw A Clockwork Orange.
As everyone knows, SITR is a pretty lighthearted ditty, but after seeing A Clockwork Orange...viddy well, little brother...
Yes!!! Me too. Good one.
Agreed! That song and movie scene still haunt me.

Tom Petty's American Girl. I always think of poor Catherine in Silence of the Lambs jamming out in the car right before Buffalo Bill gets her.
And Bad to the Bone always makes me think of the beautiful Christine.

Oy my gosh, I just rewatched SotL on TCM tonight and was bopping along with that scene!
Buffalo Bill was not a very nice man but damn! he had some very cool taste in music.
I always think of her cat that got left behind and how well it'll get along with Precious since it seems Catherine adopted him at the end.
By the way, off topic but has anyone else noticed that in every single exterior or outdoor shot in Sotl, you can hear birds chirping? If you sit through the credits, the very last thing you hear is a bird chirping. It's not very important, just something I noticed and for some reason, in that film, it seems sinister some how. Don't ask me how but it just does, I need to go to bed, lol.

I can't hear Stealer's Wheel "Stuck in the Middle with You" without picturing that scene from Reservoir Dogs.

Same with me! The same goes for Power of Love. I always think about Back to the Future.
