Just started that this morning. I figured if something's going to pull me out of my reading slump it'll be a King book.

Are what I read on my trip. Also brought Different Seasons, but didn't get to it.
Different Seasons, if you haven't read it yet, is the best SK "Short" story book there is to date. You'll love it.
I've read it, but it's been a while.
Now reading the Deathly Hallows, I REALLY need to lay off the Harry Potter after this. Seriously, it controls my life.
I'm rereading it right now, and I have to agree. :)
I'm not too far in, only in the second chapter. But so far I'm enjoying it.
After I finish this I might just have to go and read Apt Pupil, it's the only one in different seasons that I haven't read yet, and it's been on my to read list for quite some time now.
Just finished Carrie so onto Misery for me.
R of G's banner has finally got to me - I need to read the Silmarillion.
I am reading Rage! thank you Lady Linda!!! http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...n/bear_wub.gifhttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...n/bear_wub.gifhttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...n/bear_wub.gif
Actually, I'm reading Dark Tower VII right now...again, but I did just finish reading "The Island of the Sequined Love Nun," by Christopher Moore. If you like dark humor and a story that has something to offend everyone, I highly recommend just about everything Christopher Moore ever wrote. He's hillarious!

I love his short story collections. I just bought Skeleton Crew, but haven't read it yet.[/QUOTE]
Skeleton Crew is my favorite collection of King short stories! I just finished re-reading it for like the gazillionth time. I envy you getting to read it for the first time! Enjoy!

Last night I started a re-read of The Gunslinger. :D
Pet Semetary for the first time.
Reread the short story 1408 before watching the DVD. Great film and John Cusack is brilliant in the lead role.
I love the film adaptation, although you should the short story first-I agree there.

i always make sure I read a book before watching the movie. Not just King.
That's actually why I usually do the opposite. If you read the book first and then watch a movie of it that isn't as good, you're disappointed.
If you watch the movie first and like it enough to read the book--and then find the book better--then you're pleasantly surprised.
Clan of the Cave Bear is AWESOME, I'm just about done with it.
Agreed. I read that for an Anthropology course in college and kept the book. It's nice however I've been warned to stay away from the crappy sequels.
