This is the boat I am in - for the foreseeable future I am not a book collector I am a Suntup collector! I am pretty happy about it - I made the decision last fall to pare down my collection and go from quantity to quality and I don't think there's anyone putting out higher quality books than Paul.
That said, I am really hoping that he will venture outside of doing only King books - there are a lot of other books out there that, with his creativity, could be turned into marvelous limited editions. I realize that's not a popular opinion on these boards, though...
I wish I could have done the prints, they're beautiful, but I can't afford everything and so must be happy with what I've got, and I am!!!
I hope Paul keeps the number letter rights no matter if it’s Joe Blow or King. Imagine the nightmare for him too if he were to do it by author... that’s too much to handle for one chap. I think whatever he does by whoever... will be as we are accustomed too now. Out of this world amazing.

For clarification, ALL of the EOTD portfolios are sold out, not just the the ones numbered through #185. That’s what Paul told me a few days back and he confirmed it again today. Bummer for me, I wanted to buy one regardless of its number. Happy for Suntup Press though!
Quote:Steve, great to see you again and always a pleasure to talk about one of our favorite topics. Thanks again!
Very kind of you Bruce.
Hey thanks Mark!
That's an idea.. or just start reading and collecting Joe Blow from now on... ;-)
I do have books by other authors in the pipeline. 02-13-2018 04:03 PMamd013 02-13-2018 04:12 PMPatrickPaul, I’m looking forward to seeing what other authors you have in the pipeline, especially if they’re outside the horror genre.
I’d love for you, or one of our other respected independent presses, to do something like a signed limited edition of Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam (Oryx and Crake, etc.) trilogy. Not that I expect you’re looking for ideas. :) 02-13-2018 05:49 PMidlewarnings 02-13-2018 06:02 PMPatrick 02-13-2018 06:09 PMruderabbit 02-13-2018 08:01 PMidlewarnings 02-13-2018 08:15 PMPatrick 02-13-2018 08:52 PMAronstgOkay... so I know we are still in Misery hype.. but I am one of those collectors who collects multiple authors so I will probably enjoy the Joe Blow authors (great suggestion on Atwood. I'd die for a S/L Handmaid's Tale), I was wondering if we will have to wait until Misery is published before the next book is announced or should we expect Suntup to be moving along at a faster pace with it's new book offerings? 02-13-2018 11:26 PMneedfulthingsDon't forget some customers just dropped $4,585 & may need a little recovery time.plus an Art print showing up every month. 02-14-2018 01:16 AMperipheral 02-14-2018 03:21 AMherbertwestNow that Suntup got such advertising and funding, I wonder if there will be more DRAGON REBOUND books? 02-14-2018 04:03 AMwebstar1000 02-14-2018 05:48 AMThe Library Policeman 02-14-2018 05:54 AMRandall FlaggYes, or course. Spoiler: 02-14-2018 06:40 AMSt. TroyBound in genuine mouse-ear (for the light touch). 02-14-2018 07:09 AMfrik 02-14-2018 07:49 AMT-Dogz_AK47James Herbert would be cool, but what about a super deluxe 40th Anniversary S/L edition of Ghost Story (1979) by Peter Straub.
And/or
A super deluxe and heavily illustrated edition of The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. (I would just HAVE to get the Lettered of this). :excited: 02-14-2018 08:00 AMSt. TroyI could absolutely get behind this (more accurately, I could get behind a $100 gift edition of this)...and do I have to mention Shadowland again?
You can't go wrong with TDC and I'm sure Suntup would nail it, but have you looked at existing fine editions of this (secondary market, of course)? They're definitely out there; Folio Society and Easton Press come to mind, and there are others. When it comes to illustrations, those from Dore and Botticelli are amazing. 02-14-2018 08:10 AMRichardXMichel Faber's "Under the Skin" is due for the treatment. A top notch edition of that book would be great.
