*Sigh* I wish shipping wasn't such a ridiculous expense, those UK editions end up kicking my Canadian ass... our shit dollar isn't helping matters much either.

Audible has listed the audio running time at 19 hours, which puts it at about the same length as Lisey's Story and The Outsider.
(Although that's a suspiciously round number that probably indicates it's an estimate. I doubt if the audio has been recorded yet)

(Can not believe that I say that, I like the German cover)
I kinda dig it too.
Best of the 3. Germany wins

Looking at the American cover, it's really easy to see this being connected to the Dark Tower. I know it's wishful thinking, but it's the year of 19 damnit! I'll take anything!
The Waterstones exclusive edition of The Institute will have sprayed edges and an exclusive endpaper design. Available as a limited edition, so pre-order now to avoid disappoinment!

Here we go again... :pullhair:
They're back to trolling the collectors again!
Does anyone know which town in SC this is set in?
Good news is I will get 1 of the 4. Only.
Also ordered the special edition (and a couple of trade editions to defray postage costs. Hopefully I get different endpapers.
As a UK trade edition collector, I must say it’s a bit exasperating. It was fun when there was just a WHSmith and/or Waterstones variant to collect, but when there are nine or ten variants it gets a bit tiresome.
Collecting them is fun, but it does seem like Hodder is fleecing is at this point.
Wait, are there SIX variants of the endpapers???
I wonder if all preorders get unique endpapers?Quote:
Lurking inside the cover of the first UK hardback print run of The Institute you’ll find one of four beautiful illustrations inspired by scenes from the novel.
If you’re ordering online the one you receive will be random, or you can head to your local bookstore and seek out your favourite.
Anyone who pre-orders a copy will receive a special endpaper.
And that's not all. . .
The Waterstones Special Edition
This very special limited edition is exclusive to Waterstones. It has its own unique endpaper design as well as sprayed edges.
ETA: oh never mind. “Special endpapers” may refer to just one of the four pictorial endpapers described above. As opposed to the usual blank endpapers that later printings will presumably have.
