I concur. Jerome has the most beautiful display of King's books that I have ever seen. I could stare at that photo of his bookshelves for hours.

Jerome's display rocks. Hey, Jerome, how about taking orders and having some more of those custom stands with page-supporting block made up? I know I'd buy one.
Back to Geoff's original question: I store The Regulators in its toybox standing up or on its side with box pic facing out, no problem. I've stored The Stand in its coffin both upright or laying flat, no problem there either. Having the same concern as you though, I store The Stand laying flat for long periods between periods of storing it upright.
I had mine made at Tap Plastics (local to you and I). If anyone is interested I can supply the specs on my piece and they can have one fabricated for themselves.
Tap? Tap Plastics? The fantastic plastic place?
I'd love to get the specs, if you want to email them. No rush. Thanks.
The following will be nice to own!
UK misprint : Hearts in Atlantis: No name of the author (lol)

I've seen that once--by the person that owns it (I can't remember who that was, but I don't think it was our esteemed friend carlosdetweiller). I doubt very much that there were many printed.
John
Patrick, the plastic is 3/16" thick and 8" wide. The measurements are shown on the picture.
The page support block is also 3/16" thick and is 2.5"x6".
Does this help?

No idea lol
have seen a cover on a website that i manage....
i guess that "stephen king" +misprint or mistake or error
could help but of course, then it depends of the people which (may or may not) sell it, auction it..
What kind of selling prices are the Grant ARCs of DT3 and DT4(with artwork) seeing these days?
How about the DT2 NAL proof with the letter from the publisher? I know it's the more common version, so I can only assume they aren't selling for a lot.

Just a guess but the most logical thing I came up with is that the code is cross referenced to a data base which would pull details for the different states of the book(kind of like a collectors guide) ... thats kind of how the UPS guys little tablet thing works
Right. I was wondering if maybe some program (avail.)was out to check inventory with publishing(ers) runs vs. owned copy's etc. on the blueberry/cell/pda format. Its sure not the app. of the future but still interesting.?.
Thanks for the welcome and info everyone. lovin it :shoot:
btw- That tap plastics display is SWEET/Smart:excited::idea:
... cool custom options and reasonable $$.
Hi Scoogs-
I'll take a shot at this, but John or Mike Pasiuk are probably better at guesstimating the prices than me. But here goes:
Grant DT III might get $125-$150
Grant DT IV with artwork $200+ (without artwork $100-$150)
NAL DT II (pictorial cover + letter from publisher) $50-$75
Anybody else want to take a stab at it?
Thanks Wiz.
I looked last night and saw that a DTIV ARC without the artwork sold for $250 on ebay about a week ago. Given the market, that seems a bit high.
I went ahead and listed them on DTbay. If they don't sell there, off they go to ebay.
What do you think the market for the forthcoming Centipede Press book "Masters of the Weird Tale: HP Lovecraft" will do after its release? I'll definitely be getting a copy, I'm just wondering what the expert opinions are - should I wait a few months? I mean, the book of photographs will make it popular, as will the production quality of Centipede Press - but it seems that an anthology that doesn't include all of Lovecraft's work won't hold a $400 value. Anyways, I appreciate your opinions - so lets have em!
I bought one.... I was supposed to be numbered but not signed and that didnt happen. It is a pretty cool book but is 400 GOONA HOLD IN THE SECONDARY MARKET? No clue.
Can't help you Eric. Too many maybees and ifs. If you buy it at list price, I don't think you will lose anything.
Michael Whelan has a copy of the book and showed it to me when I was there on Sunday night. It's pretty amazing and HUGE! Jerad really does nice work.
I generally stay out of these speculative threads because predicting the future value of a book is not a collecting focus of mine. I will say that this is an amazing book and well worth the price. Lovecraft has a pretty wide following (if that is the proper term for a deceased writer) and the number of copies is not all that great.
I've also got a deluxe copy on order. It is supposed to be even bigger than the regular issue. I may need a forklift.
