This thread should be focused on anything to do with aftermarket slipcases. To kick things off, there's some interest to have custom cases made by Jeff Whiley for the Doubleday books. We can discuss here.
I'm copying this below as it's relevant:

I do not think Jeff can do Traycases:( I asked him once...
How much does one of his slipcases cost when you factor in shipping to the USA? Any guesses?
Also does he already have a few premade plates? I wouldn't mind getting some cases for my none SK books also.
The last time I ordered, it was 6 cases and postage was £18.25 to the USA. So if you figure £13 for the slipcase, plus postage divided between the 6, that's £16 each, so around $24 which is pretty good in my opinion. I'd recommend emailing him directly with any other questions you have. I know he has the standard "Stephen King" plates. Here's what I recently had done. Just scroll down a little.
His email is: jeffrey.whiley@ntlworld.com
Jeff build my first slipcases 3 years ago...

Really nice... love 'em...
Very Nice!!!
I love these...
I would love to take a part in next order of slipcases with someone...
OK - lets get the ball rolling on this....
I have 3 separate slipcase projects I am intending to pursue with Jeff.
1. A slipcase for Dolan's Cadillac S/L (I already have Merlin1958 signed up for one of these)
2. A slipcase to hold all the Castle Rock Newsletters (This has not been mentioned before - anyone else interested?)
3. A set of DoubleDay slipcases. (This one has the most feedback)
For (1) I intend it to be just a stamp on the front (Nothing on the spine as the book already has the spine info). I'd like it to be a picture of the car with "DOLAN'S CADILLAC" above it
http://www.stephenkingcollector.com/...ac_SL_sig1.JPG
Obviously the picture would be far less detailed as it will be just the basic car outline block filled.
For(2) I intend it to be just a stamp on the spine (Nothing on the front) This will be the Castle Rock logo printed vertically and something like "The Stephen King Newsletter Vol 1 - 5"
http://club-stephenking.fr/img/APROP...Rock-title.jpg
Now for (3) I am open to suggestions. I'd like something that ties the books together but I cant decide whether the slipcases would be facing in or out on my shelf... I'd also like to have the Book name done in the original font but that's going to mean 1 plate per book (as opposed to something like "Stephen King - The DoubleDay Years" which could be used for all 5 (or even 6 books if you include Pet Semetary)
What does everyone else think - I'd love to see some ideas. Something like these (although slipcase rather than traycase) would be really cool...

I need a Dolans Simon... so I am in!
I think you would also have some interest in Justin Cronins S/L The Twelve by Cemetery Dance. A few of us want one.
Mulleins
I only have slipcases for my other TWELVE books from Jeff...

Hi Simon,
So I'm excited that this is finally getting started after much discussion.
Here's my thoughts:
- Dolan's Cadillac: Although I don't have a copy, I'm in for this one because when I do eventually get one, I'll have the slipcase.
- Castle Rock Newsletters: Yes for sure! I have a complete set and would love a slipcase for them. And I like how you've described it exactly.
- Doubleday years: I'm obviously in with this one because this is what started the discussion originally. Personally, mine will face out, so I don't mind if there's any printing on the spine or not. Although I'd prefer it on the spine as well like in those example images you posted. I also feel we definitely need each book name on the front in the original font. If we're doing this, let's do it right. If we get enough people to 'buy in', the costs won't be too high.
I am happy to help with logistics, like maybe keep track of a list of who is interested in what? Let me know.
I'm also in for all of these...
I don't own these books but i'm going to ;)
first pass at a Doubleday Slipcase....

Now that's sweet.
Oh yeah! I love it. Did you just design that up? If so, you're in the wrong profession! But I'm sure the one you're in pays more!
yeah just knocked it up. (Getting the shining font right was a bitch)
I'll do the others over the next day or so - it will give everyone an idea of how they will look stacked together.
Perfect, thanks! This small project is getting more exciting by the minute... Did you want me to keep track of a list of members who are interested in taking part?
Here's another guy who is pretty good and in the U.S. Little more expensive though.

Okay, will do.
That said, anyone else who wants to be a part of this, please let me know. I'll start to build a list and will double-check again before any orders are placed to make sure we have everyone. Please indicate which slipcase project you are interested in:
- Dolan's Cadillac
- Castle Rock
- Doubleday
Details here.
Currently, I have webstar1000 for Dolan's and burial for all 3 so you guys don't need to respond unless you're changing anything.
