I tried to get Joe to sign my copy of The Shining once, as the book is dedicated to him, but he respectfully declined. I get it, but it would have been cool!

The first time I ever saw him in person ~2005, I thought it would be interesting to have JH sign a book that was about Joe Hill the Swedish-American labor activist (for whom he is named).
Joe politely declined saying it would be "bad mojo" to sign the book.
I had already purchased the book at the store hosting the event, so I took it to the desk and asked them to donate the book.
What is the current value of a Cemetery Dance S/L IT.
That comes with both the original traycase and a custom Dolso traycase.
The Dolso also has art by Jill Bauman outside and inside (signed by her) as well as the CD logo (given permission to use it)...
Both bok and both cases are in FINE condition.
What is everyone's feelings on getting a Remarque in a s/l? I think it would hurt more than help value but I just wanted to know opinions.
Yeah I've got an opportunity to get Jae Lee to remarque my wttkh. I'm definitely going to do my gift edition, wasn't sure about my s/l.

I would never Remarque an S/l or lettered book. Gift only... or artist edition... not signed by King.

I actually have a remarque in my S/L Desperation. I think it really depends on the book. Since Desperation is one of the more abundant and affordable King S/Ls I figured it was worth it.
In my opinion, do what makes you happy.
If you are doing it just to add value, then i would caution that not everyone considers it a plus.
Becca nailed my thoughts exactly.
I have several S/L copies with drawings by the assigned book artist that would absolutely blow your mind. I've sold a few as well and have never had a buyer say no thanks, it has an original drawing in it.
But, to each his own and how they collect. It's all personal.

I have my IT S/L remarqued by Erin Wells and I certainly don't think it devalues the book, not to mention it's excellent work. I also have my IT gift remarqued by Glenn Chadbourne even though he had nothing to do with it. It's some of his best work and I couldn't be happier. They may not ADD much value but I don't think it takes away from it. Do what you want, not what everyone else wants.
What would you guys put as the value of Paul's EOTD Artwork Portfolio Proofs? I have yet to see one hit the market so wondering what they will go for once they do/if they do.
I believe the FIRST one is due to go "ON SALE" on....
Spoiler: 05-24-2017 01:07 PMzeligWell if one ever does, and the number is disclosed, I'll know who cashed in. 05-24-2017 01:10 PMRoseannebarrNone of us MERE MORTALS would have any proofs if someone didn't sell their copies? Can't wait to see one on the secondary market and then you will know you are truly a big player in the SK market. I have not seen any of your books trade on the open market yet, have you? 05-24-2017 01:17 PMzeligI won't be mad if someone decides to sell. It's theirs and they can do what they'd like with them.
The only ones that come to mind are the custom bound copies I donated to HF. 05-25-2017 03:59 AMwebstar1000
