Thanks! Being an active member here both motivates and enables me to build up my collection, so I'm grateful to the group here.

I picked this up for a steal on eBay. It's not rare or collectible, but that wasn't always the case.
Until about a year ago, the only widely-available audiobook for The Regulators was abridged. This unabridged recording did exist, but the only edition of it that I'm aware of was done by BooksOnTape for libraries, and it was pretty hard to find. Many King audiophiles didn't even know it existed. Crazy that the only unabridged recording of a King novel - read by Frank Muller, no less - was so unobtainable.
Then, about a year ago, this edition was published, and audible also made it available. I have the library edition already, on cassette, but these CDs will have much better sound quality.
Normally I wouldn't have bothered posting it, but thought people might be interested in its history, in case you weren't aware.
By the way, there's also an unabridged recording of Desperation narrated by King himself, that was equally obscure and hard to get, and also now generally available.

Buying stuff like that will keep you regular. THE REGULATORS - regular...get it? Oh, never mind!
That is a nifty looking item, though.
Cool, interesting background info...
A Chizmar-signed trade and slipcase from the recent CD sale:

I'm really liking CD's recent slip cases btw. Both style and quality are better than ever.

Nice grab, Jack!
Hey Jack.
You really do have some nice stuff here. I think you have definitely some cool books and book sets. I hope you don't think it's modest any more.
Nice!
Thanks, Brian! :)
Thanks, Mike. I can't help but call it modest when I see all other amazing King stuff that people post here. But I'm gradually pulling a collection together that I'm very happy with.
Thanks!

NICE !!!

Not particularly rare, but I've been looking for a nice copy, and was happy to find this one.

It's also a pretty good read!
Nice add!
It is indeed. The audiobook is also fantastic.
Thanks, Brian. I missed out on the early-ish CD trade edition Kings the first time around, and am gradually finding good copies on the secondary market.
(I do collect S/Ls and even Lettered editions, but rarely, and usually for more affordable authors than King.)

I don't collect anthologies much at all, but with signatures from three of my favourite authors, I couldn't pass it up. The slipcase has seen better days, but the book is much better, and the price was right.

Congratulations, HBJ! Great sigs in that edition! I think it's a great pickup!
Great addition to your collection. I think the Night Visions series, as a whole, is one of the best anthology series ever published - great concept and huge names.
Nice looking book indeed.
Congrats for the nice FDNS and my ... bad memories / most hated book NV 5 s/l.:nope:
Nice grab, Peter!
:thumbsup::thumbsup:
SubPress had a massive PC sale this morning, for charity, and I might have gotten a bit carried away. :)
So my King collecting will be put on hold for a while. I still have a few preordered items coming in later this year, but my wallet is definitely on hiatus.
I regret nothing. :)
