pulled out my old PS2 recently to play Sonic Plus: The Mega Collection
i admit WiTN does have its fair share of problems but it's an intense game to play
Just got a wolf among us for free because http://www.gamesradar.com is giving away 50 steam codes a day for 4 days. Today was the first day.
So I figured I would try and do a better play through of the game I Am Alive then I had been doing. So far I'm doing better then I had been doing. I restarted after only getting so far the first time because I felt like I was wasting too much of my supplies.
I hate games that give you a very limited amount of item and force you to think of alternate ways to get something done to save ammo, and I HATE games that auto save! I'm playing I Am Alive and had a guy running up to kill me even though I had a gun pointed at him. I didn't realize I could probably struggle kill him and not lose and health and shot him accidentally. What I didn't realize was that all I had to do was back up a little more and I would of been done with the level so I ended up wasting a bullet.
So I've owned Batman: Arkham City for the PS3 since day one had have beat the game on hard and got all the riddle trophies and beat the riddler challenges. I've been doing a plus play through in order to get all the trophies. We'll for Christmas I bought the GOTY edition which included all dlc since it was $15 cheaper through amazon then buying the dlc separately. Any ways the game came in the mail today and when I went to play it the save screen came up and it said I didn't have a save. Turns out the fucking game of the year edition adds the fucking initials GOTY to the save file so I can't use my old saves. At least I was able to get real close to beating the hard mode today. I should be back to where I was in the other game by the end of the week.
Haven't really gamed in a while. My next purchase will probably be Assassin's Creed IV : Black Flag since I'm a huge AC fanboy.
Now that ps4 is out, I finally have a ps3. haha. It is nice, though since I am able to play a bunch of cheap ps3 exclusives that I never got to.
I played through The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls and loved them both.
Right now I am really enjoying playing Payday 2: The Heist with one of my friends.
apparently The Last of Us is getting a PS4 release
The Last of Us is one of the greatest fucking games of all fucking time.
So I'm now back to where I was in my batman arkham city game in the GOTY version. I'm so close to getting the platinum trophy. I just have to get through the story on game plus.
Loved The Last of Us. One of my top 10 favorite games of all time. I'm not going to go into what makes the game so great, but I will add something that has been overlooked. For such a robust, well scripted single player, Last of Us has a surprisingly good online mulityplayer. They were able to bring the feel of the SP into MP which is not always easy. It's also not just slapped together like some of the MP for games that are predominately SP. To me, that's what makes Last of Us even better. It truly is a great all around game on so many levels.
I didn't hear anything about Last of Us coming to PS4. I did hear they will be releasing The Last of Us: Left Behind that revolves around Ellie. From what I understand that's DLC only. I'm interested in anything Naughty Dog releases on any system.
isn't Left Behind Ellie's life leading up to the start of the game?
Sounds like The Last of Us is a game I need to get round to getting. Next month, I think, or maybe the month after. Once I'm done with GTAV. (Which is so much better than GTAIV, it's unbelievable - for once, the hype wasn't bullshit, this time.)
Yes, from what I understand it revolves around Ellie before she met up with Joel. I think it takes place shortly after the outbreak when Ellie is with a few of her friends.
James, GTA5 is a great game. There's so much to do even after the game. It's the gift that keeps on giving. You're gonna like Last of US too. Great game. A reason to own a PS3.
so.... anyone else see the Alien: Isolation trailer?
I got GTA5 for my birthday in October. I finally just got to 100% complete on Sunday.
There are a couple of trophies I'd like to go for and I'm missing a couple of the "under the bridge" tasks but I'm that's about it. All 3 of my characters have around 1.5 billion dollars so money should never be a problem. I've been working on aquiring vehicles and customizing them for each character.
I also got Wifi for Christmas for the first time, so I finally got to play GTA online. I think I actually prefer the single-player more.
Anyone else download the first episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead?
You're going for a GTA5 plat? Kudos. That seems like a tough one to get. I'm one trophy from a Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time plat. I don't usually do trophies though.
GTA5 online is actually tons of fun. As long as you are playing with a few friends. Playing with randoms can be very frustrating. Even just having one friend to do missions with is really great.
That reminds me, the only thing The Last of Us was missing is a two player co-op.
One more thing, Fernando, do you have another PSN name or have you just been super busy lately because I never see you on any more.
No, what I meant was that a single player co-op would have been an option. You wouldn't be forced to play that way. Kind of like how Resident Evil 5 worked.
Sure, they are different games with RE5 having more action, but I think a co-op would have worked just fine.
I was just saying that the co-op to RE5 worked. True, it's not a great game and a departure from the series (not as much as RE6) but I still think there's tons of atmosphere and times where it feels like RE.
You're correct, Ellie pretty much stays out of the way. That might actually be something I didn't like about the gameplay. I wanted to worry about her more, but never really had to. I felt it would have been even better if we had to protect her more. There are some instances where she will throw shit at the bad guys or infected. I think there was even some times where she would hit them with objects. Also, you get to play as Ellie for one part of the game. It happens to be my favorite part of the game.
One more thing, The Last of Us is on the PS3 not the PS4. So if you want to play it, you don't have to worry about dropping 450+ bucks.
I figured you meant PS3. Just wanted to make sure. You're not arguing. In fact, you're pretty spot on about The Last of Us gameplay mechanics. I'm hoping you can get your hands on LoU soon. It's an amazing game and I'd be interested in your thoughts. Just keep your eyes out because so many of these games are dropping in price since the PS4 came out.
If I find a good price on a copy of LoU at a tag sale, flea market or retro store, I'll send it to you. No charge. I haven't seen any yet though.
