The Great Movie Tournament - 2000s: Round 4 - Group 1 of 16

During the fourth round of The Great Movie Tournament, please vote for up to two films you would like to move onto the next round. The top two films will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given film receives will determine its standing going forward.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

Me too! I really want to vote for both Kill Bill and A History of Violence but I know both won't move with them being in the same group as The Dark Knight.

Y'all, please remember that Volume 1 is also in the running. If both advance, that means that two Kill Bills will be ranked in the Top 32 of the decade. Quite an exclusive list. That doesn't sound right, does it?

That's sounds about right. First of all, it's damn near impossible to separate them. In fact, I think there was a suggestion of adding them into the tournament as one movie. Second, they are both really, really good.

Sounds right to me as well :D I do wish they were included as one film. They're both excellent but I do consider them pieces of the same film. And really hope both advance.

I'm fine with them being separate. They are stylistically the same but in pace and tone are very, very different.

Agreed. Hopefully The Hurt Locker can get some help and tie Kill Bill for second or is that too much to hope for?
