Picked up a couple of Harlan Ellison books I've been looking for, one for a while, the other quite recently; the PS Publishing proof for ELLISON WONDERLAND that was never produced in this format, and the lettered BLOOD'S A ROVER. Not to be critical (okay, to be critical), I expected a more elaborate production for an originally priced $500 book, something on the order of their cheaper lettered Ellisons, such as THE TOP OF THE VOLCANO, DEATHBIRD STORIES or CAN AND CAN'TANKEROUS.

Not as many as I would like, but here is my entire collection of books, etc., personally signed to me when I met the authors (and one film maker).
The program book is signed by Ray Harryhausen.
EARTHMAN'S BURDEN is signed by Gordon R. Dickson.
THE SHADOW is signed 'Walter Gibson'.
The August 1974 F&SF is signed by Dean McLaughlin on his story's first page. I used to visit his bookstore in Ann Arbor.

Some nice stuff there Steve. I like that Apt Pupil. It looks really cool.

They changed the production to a boxed and a signed box with a bonus volume (shown in the center), with a different forward. The book had a brief paperback run as EARTHMAN, GO HOME, a title Ellison did not like or approve:
