Well, has anyone seen the movie yet?

I still haven't seen the first one. It got a lot of mixed reviews so I was hesitant about seeing it in the theater.

Sweet!! I was a big fan of the first one. I always throw it in the dvd player about every 4 months for another viewing.

I think that 28WL has one of the best opening scenes for any movie, ever.

I heard that there was someone on some site comparing the movie to the Iraq war. :rolleyes:

Well, I have to admit, I didn't think it was great, but I did like it.

You're right. I the opening scene was very intense and my favorite part of the movie.

28 days later was awesome. Like Children of Men (one of the best films of last year imo), the brits are just naturals at punchy and realistic doom films. Its unrealistic for the good side of people to always shine through.

Like the berko army unit towards the end of the movie - the viewer is expecting some kind of hollywood salvation at the end of their journey, but humans are always capable of making things worse.

I loved Children of Men too.

Will and I were lucky enough to catch it at the ONE theater it played at here for a short while.
It's a beautiful, sad movie. Del Torro really outdid himself with this one.

And now I must see the Fountain...

I've heard really, really good things about Pan's labyrinth. It's out on DVD already, yes?
