Thanks Patrick. My sons and I fixed the car ourselves. It had a crushed radiator and A/C compressor. The only work we couldn't do ourselves was recharge the A/C system. It isn't perfect, but we spent 1/4 what a body shop would have charged.
Here are a few before and after pics:

Looks like you've done an awesome job, Jerome.
Very nice work, Jerome!
John
Very nice!
pretty good job!
Something I am wondering since awhile and always forget to ask.
Stephen King uses a lot of french expressions in his novels. In Duma Key, there are even more than with the other books (the expressions that are already in french in the text, have a different settings in the french books)...
As well as a reference to France : Melinda (?) is in France...
Few months ago, Marsha said that he was self teaching french, because Tabitha's ancestors were french... but :
Do you (non french people) always understands the french expressions he uses when you're reading him? I mean, some of them are quite common, but...???
I understand most within the context of the sentence/paragraph they are contained in.
If it's not already here somewhere, a thread on foreign language/phrases used by King in a book would be cool. Perhaps note the book, chapter, phrase and a translation.
Not sure where is best, but if someone wishes to get it started, I'll look into the matter.
Great job on the car, RF, and I love the custom license plate.
HW, some French sayings are common knowledge here, others can often be determined based on context.
Heres an interesting back story to Michael Slade's first novel "Headhunter".
Its long, but well worth it. If you've read the book, this gives great insight into the creative process, if not, its still an interesting read and maybe you'll pick it up!

12 more days to Denmark, and 20 more days to Wales. How can I wait?
In Denmark I'll really finish the Dark Tower and read the whole Coda. eeeekkkk.
In Wales there will be the wedding of a beautiful couple, in a small church in the middle of nothing. Probably I should reread the whole Dark is Rising series again before that, it's the reason I've always wanted to see Wales. It just sounds way cooler when the bus station in Cardiff is called Fford y Brenin (King's Way) - reminds me of scary Brenin Llwyd, the Grey King in those books.
Well, I have been home out of work for nearly a month now. I cannot believe how quickly time flies. Also, I cannot believe how quickly a day slips through my hands. Even though I have spent far less time posting in the threads on this site, I am so much more involved in launching the kids to school, running errands, doing a few things with my wife, cooking meals etc....I always appreciated what my stay-at-home wife accomplished, but I have a new appreciation for it!!! I REALLY need to get better organized at the job search though. It's too easy to lapse into doing the homebody stuff!
Sorry, I haven't been as present in the threads of late. I especially miss bumping into turtlex at 6am on a consistent basis. Pam, you're my favorite early morning person. :huglove:
This is a neat website. I've always found Between The Covers to be extremely pricey but I really like this new "rotating book" display. Just select a book from the e-list and watch it spin. Totally cool.

Yeah, that's really cool!
Okay, that rotating book thing is totally cool.
I picked up a nice trade paperback copy of "The Memory of Running" by Ron McLarty in Barnes and Noble yesterday on the marked down table for $4.98. I seem to remember King writing a column about this book calling it "The Best Book You Can't Read." I'll bet they are available at most B&Ns so, if you are interested, head on down.
That's a great book! I believe it was Patrick who originally turned me on to it.
Yes, I believe it was. :couple:
:couple: <= GET A ROOM!
but patrick turns everyone:grouphug: on!
my random thought this morning....
"Is anything going to be open when i go to Cancun in 2 weeks for my first vacation in over 5 years?"
random thought #2...
if i catch swine flu while on vacation, will that validate all my ex-girlfriends opinions ....
that i am indeed a "PIG"?
random thought #3...
is "when i get swine flu" a past tense reference to "i will when pigs fly"?
i'm all thunk out now....
happy sunday everyone!
 Deep Thoughts With Terry.
I'd go to Mexico and not worry about it.
Now is surely the time to go to Cancun! I saw a report on the news last week, and there was literally six people on the beach there, a beach that usually sees over four thousand people per day. On top of that, all the struggling businesses are offering massive discounts to get some cash flow.
