Oh Dear God. Just how many editions does one title need???

I wonder if there will be a limited like Joyland?

I hope so, I had wonderful luck with that one... What are the odds the pricing is as reasonable as last time? I doubt it personally.

I get what they’re going for but the cheesecake covers for these are kind of embarrassing. Like the Joyland illustrated cover has the naked woman with a towel covering herself holding the rifle. (Although this is mild compared to that.)

Aren't they based on an old line of books like that? I thought I heard something like that, but I forget the details.

Yes, they are deliberately retro, recalling the "racy" pulp covers of yesteryear. I like them, even as I roll my eyes. :)
If this were a hardcover like Joyland Illustrated, I'd definitely pick up a copy. But as a PB, I'm less inclined.

Perfectly happy with the hardcover edition from a while back. No need for another.

Given that I have not bought TCK yet, how do all of you (who don't have much enthusiasm for this new edition) think this edition stacks up for me to go with? Keep in mind, I'm not looking for anything truly collectible etc.
-
If you want a book that won't appreciate in value and you also happen to like the illustrations then go for it.

I'm told by editor/publisher Charles Ardai that a limited is not planned, there also will not be any advance proofs produced for those looking for that.

Is that a paperback edition of the one that was recently announced, or another one, again, with brand new illustrations? I am not sure

Probably a UK-ized version of the new one with the same 20 illos.
-
That's also what I thought but I couldnt find the actual answer
-
I want one.
It's weird, because I highly disliked THE COLORADO KID.
