The eyes of the dragon s/l. $600 shipped to USA. Very minor rubbing at the bottom of the book and the slipcase is a little sun-faded. Not a PC copy. I'll post a picture later today.
Still looking to trade(straight swap) my UK 1st/1st HC FDNS for a US 1st/1st HC FDNS.
I might take you up on that. I'll go to a bookstore on Friday after work and see if they have any firsts left and let you know.
I'm talking to the seller about sending it back or a partial refund. So far he's agreed I can send it back but I'd rather get $50 off if possible. That way I can sell it for cheaper and I won't risk not getting a refund after the seller receives the book. If he refunds me, I'll sell for $575 shipped.
Eyes of the Dragon is also one of my favorite signed/limiteds. $600.00 sounds like a fair price, although you'll want to check to make sure that the page edges are free of soiling. I had one a few years back like that and sold it for around $700.00 when the market was stronger. I used the money from that and another book to snag an Artist's Copy for $900.00, which I still feel is one of the best deals I've ever gotten on a King limited :-)
There's no soiling but there's that old book smell. I've never seen another copy in person so I have nothing to compare it to. Either way, I'd say $575 w/ shipping in is a very good price. I'd also consider trading for other S/Ls.
cool,sounds good.lmk.

My Salem's Lot Gift and The Stand 1/1 both in limited traycases.....I will also be listing some arc/ proof later tonight and tomorrow night.
The pages are made with a material similar to linen, which is one of the reasons that the pages and their edges are prone to soiling. One should always make sure one’s hands are clean when handling a signed/limited, but it is particularly important when handling this book.
Hahaha, yeah, I know the smell you’re talking about. The signed/limited of Eyes of the Dragon definitely has one of the most distinct smells of any book I own. I was a little bit concerned about it when I acquired my first copy, as it is not exactly pleasant like a typical “old book” smell. The closest thing I can compare it to is the smell of dirty feet. I actually had a dialog with one of those involved with the production (I believe it was Michael Alpert, although regrettably I do not have the original e-mails to confirm) who indicated that the book’s unpleasant odor is the result of the ink used in the printing process, which was unique due to the fact that it was literally pressed into the pages.
I can see the rubbing to the bottom edge of the book that you mentioned in your photo, as well as some rubbing to the top-right corner. In my experience, this is fairly common due to the material that lines the inside of the slipcase and way the book fits into it. My first copy had it pretty bad, though there are copies out there free of this issue.
Thank you.....hate to sell these, luckily I only need to sell a few more things and I will have the money I need for all necessary moving costs......link to updated auctions-

The Secretary of Dreams 2 signed/traycased. $300 shipped to N. America. I have a gift edition and don't really need the signed version. I'd rather sell to someone on here than bother with eBay. I'd also accept trades with money adjusted on either end.
Quick want list:
UK Christmas editions
Colorado Kid on PS (any edition)
That's it.
You can get all three Colorado Kid trades (the 2nd run) via our auction.
No takers for TEOTD at $575 shipped?
I haven't sent the book back yet but I'll send it on Wednesday if it doesn't sell by then.
I'll offer a $25 finders fee if someone can find me a buyer.
TEOTD is now sold.
Bye girl. Our love has been short-lived but I will never forget our times and how well you fit into my arms.
It's bittersweet. I know I will fill that void with another one soon but my heart still aches.
I hope the next one doesn't smell so bad though.
Is that why you sold it? I didn't bother posting when you'd first mentioned it - and it doesn't matter anyway - but the EOTD I had a long time ago also had a very distinct smell from the paper...so I don't know if that's what you meant.
Or if it just smelled bad! Haha...
It was rubbing to the slipcase and that smell that made me sell it. Too bad because the book looked great.
Hmmm....mine had rubbing too, and a smell. I sold it a few years back. What number was it?
EDIT: Mine was not 268!
268
Mine had that smell to it as well. I haven't noticed it since I first purchased the book though.
