Are you a Fugazi fan, Alisha?
Oh, and... :huglove:
I am indeed, Brice. :D
:huglove: right back at you, tenfold.
NP: The Band - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
Many years back (before there was an AlishaRiley I believe) I got to see them live. The best part was I got to go for free. A crazy good time. :D
Elliot Smith-Alameda
:excited: That's fucking awesome!! AND FOR FREE? Everything tastes better when it's free.
And in homage to you, Brice, as many moons ago you mentioned that I should lend my ears to a band:
NP: The Grateful Dead - China Cat Sunflower
I've also heard that live...in person
So...I assume you like them?
The Grateful Dead-Mexicali Blues
And yeah, I saw them free. I was working a club/restaraunt at the beach. The dj/bartender was a friend of mine and he also DJed for a local radio station. It was right around my birthday and he asked me if I was going to see them and I said I wish, but i can't afford it. Then he told me that I won tickets on the radio stations contest. The next night he announced that I'd won over the radio. I had entered no contest. After that if I wanted tickets to a show that station had tickets for I could win them by asking.
Fugazi-Waiting Room
What I've listened to by them is exceptional - Aoxomoxoa is the album I've listened to most attentively, and a seed of love for it has been firmly planted. :)
That is so cool! It makes me jealous and slightly in awe...not only because of the gig, but because of the whole experience! I want to have as much fun as you one day, PLEASE. :excited:
The Grateful Dead - What's Become of the Baby
You should really know about this if you don't already. Live Dead is infinitely superior though I like the studio stuff too and have some on vinyl.
You can just hang out with me. :couple: I have been lucky in that I've had some fun and interesting experiences. Now though I am mostly a hermit.
The Grateful Dead-Stella Blue
Okay...I know what website I'll be glued to for the next few days.
Even after just 2 songs I feel it is safe to say - that's impressive.
Sincerely, thank you!
Don't tempt me, Brice - you never know when the urge to come hang with you will become completely insatiable. And one day, it will happen!
Grateful Dead Live at Madison Square Garden on 1979-09-04 - Sugaree ;)
Ooh, I haven't downloaded that show yet. Seriously I've downloaded LOTS of whole concerts from that site. It'll take you much longer than two days to get everything there.
You may not escape. :couple:
The Grateful Dead-Lindy
Ok, this has gotta' be the first time I've heard this song on a restaraunt's muzak....
TMBG-Santa's Beard
The Smithereens, Girls Around Town
The Smithereens, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
I Want An Alien For Christmas, Fountains of Wayne
Hey Julie, Fountains of Wayne
Kings of Leon, Molly's Chamber
