View Full Version : Window shopping

I noticed some interesting items while window shopping downtown yesterday.

In the first store I noticed a can of foamy hair gel, an implement for a lumberjack, a photo of a famous, defeated commanding leader, a screenshot from a movie where a group of comedic knights are saying a ridiculous word in big letters.

In the second store, I saw a not-so-shiny car by Honda and an implement of the fisherman.

In the third store, a cup of coffee, a tube of ointment, a toy barn with an area for bedding an animal, a photograph of a building specifically designed for weary travelers.

In the last store, I stumbled upon a small rodent, a chair and a piping bowl of Lengua Estofada.

As I walked past these stores, the items in each made me think of other things. Wicked, evil things. Can you guess what the items reminded me of?

the first store reminds me of Monty Python (moose, lumberjack, Lord Nelson, Ni). Is this on the right track?

The lumberjack tool guess so far is not right. :orely:

You guys are making some progress.

"In the second store, I saw a not-so-shiny car by Honda" The Honda Stealth?

"In the second store, I saw a not-so-shiny car by Honda" The Honda Stealth?

A good answer, but not the one I was thinking. A three word description of another model would work best with the riddle. ;)

I'll give you the first word... "A ____ _____"

is the lumberjack's tool a saw?

WAIT! I know the first. Mousse, saw, Lee, Ni. Mussolini.

the third store is joseph stalin. So the answer must be "dictators".

is the 2nd store "Pol Pot"? I dunno how "pot" fits into the Honda clue, but a fisherman's tool is a pole.

Mousse, saw, Lee, Ni. Mussolini is the first!

Joseph Stalin is the third!

Remember the second follows this format:...
A Not-So-Shiny Honda
"A ____ _____" + a piece of equipment a fisherman would use.
...but a fisherman's tool is a pole. Maybe you should work this clue from the other end? Pol Pot...not so much. Honda has other models. :orely:

Kick ass, Rjeso! Keep working it.

oh, is "not so shiny" "dull"? Which would lead to a+dull, which sounds like the beginning of "Adolph"...?

right, but "fit" doesn't fit into the blanks Gaberax provided... I know it's Hitler, but I dunno what makes it work. Nice call on the "lure", M's Daughter!
