I wrote a poem based on a certain scene in The Dark Tower IV. Spoiler warning: reveals the fate of a primary character.

The Last Sunrise

The silver light
Casts ghosts upon her skin
Upon her horse
Anxious, she waits for him

He cleans his guns
Knowing this night, he can
Never go back
Once, for love, blood is spilled

Ka is a wheel
To deny it, a curse
But forsaken love,
Like death, is surely worse

In this world that
Has moved on, it’s said
Ka is a wind,
And so tears will be shed

In their embrace,
They know this to be true
His quest is hard,
Yet he must see it through

He plants her face
Into his heart and mind
Not knowing that
This is their last goodbye

Betrayed again
By the evil pink glass

And though the flames
Engulf most of her cries
“I love thee!” she screams into the last sunrise

about 4 years ago after i finished the series
its a little corny but it was what i was feeling at the time

My quest

I quest for the dark tower

You say im insane

that this is all there is

but that just cant be

there are other

worlds than these

open your eyes

to the truth right there

in front of you

all things serve the tower

all things follow the beams

and if you dont know what i mean

open your ears

hear the song of the rose

grab your guns

you are now a gunslinger

and we are ka-tet

protect the rose

quest for the tower

follow the beam

and serve ka

those are my goals

those are the things

that haunt my dreams

i want to travel

farther than this world

i want to travel to

the dark tower

niytemare and LastGuns1nger: thank you for posting! The question is: LastGuns1nger, don't you want to start a thread of your own? I mean, then you could post all your DT-related works there. Unless, of course, niytemare meant this thread for everybody who writes W&G poetry. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gifhttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gifhttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gif

Hell, why not post your poems in the same thread? This way it will be easier to compare them. I'm glad my posted prompted someone else to share their ideas.
Thanks for checking it out!

There is artwork to go with this poem, not entirely clear how to post it. I tried following the directions in the sticky, but it wasn't giving me the option.

That is amazing , niytemare!
If you're reading this in 2019, that'd be awesome!
