I'm going with the Dark Phoenix Saga...

... which to me is the epitome of what a Superhero can and should be. The ultimate sacrifice, and a great story, very well told.

I had to go for the Invisibles, but Preacher made me feel really guilty.

I'm going with The Crow here. This is a tale born from fire and rife with it's trappings. Just in the reading of it you can see the pain the author was feeling through the entire story. Forget the movie (as good as it was) and forget the additional stories that came after. Sit down and read the original and understand the sorrow, the anger, and the despair that drew this story from the depths of hell and put it onto the page.

The Crow spoke to me then and speaks to me today.

You're using words like "fire" and "trappings" and you're NOT picking Dark Phoenix? Come on, man!

Fuck...I voted for Invisibles because I didn't know the other titles, then I saw that Dark Phoenix was there. So when you tally the votes, please subtract one for Invisibles and add one for Phoenix...

Voted for that one too, and for the same reason. :)

Dude, I SO wanted to vote for Preacher, but it's sitting up against The Crow, one of my all time favorites AND one of the most impactful stories I have read. Preacher is a great tale, but it lacks the power of The Crow for me, so I had to go against it.

I wholeheartedly concur. Preacher would have most of the other brackets beat, for me at least.
