This is the toughest bracket for me. I ended up voting for The Dark Knight Returns, but it was between this and 300, both Miller books.

I still need to read The Dark Knight Returns, but i've gotta say this one was a tough choice, since i LOVE The Long Halloween. In the end, though, I just had to go along with Watchmen, that comic really did blow me away!

ANNOUNCEMENT : I hate Pam and Sam for making me choose between my two most favorite GN's ever. Just putting that out there. <_<

I haven't cast my vote yet, I'll need to meditate on this for a looooooooooooooong time.

Feev - Please hate The Hat: Version 2.3 which was the bastard program that did the random picking for me !!!

Don't hate the pimp, hate The Hat.

Watchmen. As Pop Will Eat Itself so wisely sang, "Alan Moore knows the score!"

300 has more votes than TDKR?!?

And Watchmen is topping them all. That kinda surprises me, but with the movie having recently been released, not so surprising after all.

Watchmen is great... I am not surprised at that at all. Alan Moore.

I haven't read all of these, so I don't think it's fair I vote.

Of the 4 I have read I suppose it would either be Watchmen or Dark Knight returns I'd go for. I read 300 recently, and while the art was interesting it really wasn't a big deal to me otherwise.

Brainslinger - I would say vote. Your opinion is just as valuable as the next. If you've read some of these and think they're good - vote for them. It's all about participation.

re: 300 - it is a visual masterpiece, for sure.

Ok, as long as you don't mind the fact I'm biassed. ;)

It'll be either Watchmen or the Dark Knight for me then. I wasn't over keen on the first when I read it , but it was a long time ago, and I suspect my reaction would be different now.

I prefferred the Dark Knight when I read it (relatively recently) but I think Watchmen is a more landmark comic...

Ho, hummmm.....

Watchmen spoiler:
I think it was the bleak ending which coloured my negative view of Watchmen at the time rather than finding the story intrinsically bad. I thoroughly enjoyed the film version I saw recently, and I know that the story changed very little.

Watchmen it is.

Hey, we live for the biased !!

Look at feev, he doesn't even read all the titles, just does a search for Dark Knight!

I might vote Watchmen from here on in. All the books I voted for in the first round seem to be failing.

Personally, I'm voting with my heart until my fav's are dropped or out voted, etc.

Seymour_Glass

That's what I'm doing, too. But my faves are probably all going to drop off by next round.

turtlex

Well... Maus and Dark Phoenix are my favorites... and those hopefully will pass through to the second...

... thing is, we got a a LOT of really good nominations so every bracket is killing me!
