I play CoD:WaW daily on our clan server. It's in EU though so you'd probably have a high ping there :/

That's more or less the only game I play at the moment. But PC gaming is where it's at :D

The general gaming thread is supposed to be all sufficient, apparently.

Hmm, well I did play some Clancy games once, and did like Diablo. Only game now on the pc is Utopia. Been doing it for over ten years. It is still text based and all about math it seems(though I suck at math). We used to have over 150k players from all over the world. Now we have 50k and it has become leets in one area and ghettos in the other. Still can't give it up though. It is a team game, and if you play as a team but still manage to beat 99% of the server in size, there is a satisfaction knowing you are better than those guys. Even though I suck at math, I have had my share in the top.

I know this is not what this thread is about, so I walk out quietly now. :pirate:

I am a huge fan of Civialization. The game sucks on platforms but is pure magic on the PC!

I've been playing Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death that i bought off steam a fair bit this weekend. It is, in every possible sense of the phrase, a "cheap thrill": cheap graphics, cheap storyline, and thankfully, cheap price, but i kinda like it. Mainly for arresting perps and zombie headshots! And of course for being able to hear Dredd say:

"I AM THE LAWWWWWWWWWWW!"

I started as a hardcore PC gamer. Ever since Myst. Half-Life was the first FPS I ever played for any length of time (online), and believe me when I say that I played the hell out of it. But alas, my computer can barely even run Mozilla Firefox now-a-days. :(

My comp stats are soooo horrible compared with today's standards: 192Mb RAM, Nvidia Riva TNT video card, SoundBlaster Live! sound card, and a 19Gb HD.:pullhair:

Today, I'm lucky if I can play Doom and not have it lag.
I miss PC gaming.

I'm borderline obsessed with the Myst franchise. I have all the games, all the novels... :P I just love that universe.

I remember the days when every PC came with a copy of Myst. :D

My god, i ain't played Myst for a while, but they are BRILLIANT games. They're games you can't really play through so much as LIVE through, ESPECIALLY Riven. I hated Riven at first, i could just not get into it, but once i actually pretended i was REALLY there, taking notes and figuring out what was and what wasn't important, it really does suck you in. I NEED to check out the novels, though!

Currently i'm making my way through Sam & Max: Season Two again. Funniest games ever! Season One was brilliant, but Two is just phenomenal. Not only are all five episodes great adventure games, not only are all the eps great comedy, but the story is just INSANELY brilliant! What at first seems stupid and trivial later in the season becomes crucial to saving the world!

Think my all-time favourite line (among many) is:
Sam (reading from newspaper headline): Xmas saved! Santa pronounced dead at the scene.
Max: Santa's not dead! He's just in hell!
Sam: Yeah, i think it's better for the kids if they just think he's dead, max!

Just Downloaded Killing Floor from Steam. Once you get used to the bullshit, Steam isn't too bad <.<

I play all kind of pc games, I have a fixation for The Sims 2 and -3 -games, especially building houses. The actual Sims gameplay doesn't fascinate me that much but building and decorating fancy houses, what a joy! I also spend too much time playing Guitar Hero (/Frets on Fire) games, I just love to practice difficult songs til frustration/bleeding fingers.
I also enjoy adventure games like Monkey Island-, Syberia-, Broken Sword-, Silent Hill-, Tomb Raider- games etc. Oh and GTA games, I think my favourite game from the series must be Vice City for unknown reason.

When in need of just clicking and strategizing I play good old Commandos games (NOT Strike Force, that one made me just ask WHY?! ), I can play over and over these games, single or co-op.
COD Waw, awww. I love it, never dared to join on public servers, just played solo or Co-Op missions and Nazi Zombies, which is way too fun game mode! (Can't wait for Modern Warfare 2!).

Mmorpg, weird simulations tycoons or sports games aren't my thing at all, but about anything else goes. (Well ok,have to admit. Multiplaying any "silly" sports like golf, ski jumping or hunting games is major fun when drunk and bored.)

I do the same Oppa... I LOVE building houses for the Sims games! I spend more time doing THAT than playing the game itself!

Aw, soul mate. :D
I might spend 15+ hours on one house, everything just must be perfect. And once it's finished I don't even go and see what it's like. My record is 47 hours on one house, I call that sick!

I have been a pc gamer but here lately I've been warming up to consoles. My mother in law bought my kids an xbox 360 and I have a couple of games for myself. I'm finding I'm really enjoying them and I don't game on my comp much. (I'm totally enthralled with Star Wars The Force Unleashed atm)

But I started pc gaming with Age of Empires. It came with my computer. For a while all I played was RTS games. Then I got into Everquest. Played those kinds of games for a long time. Now whenever I do game on my pc I'm back to RTS. My current love is Battle for Middle-earth: Rise of the Witch King

I can't play console games any more. The controls are just too alien to me, I can't work an analog stick...guess I'm just used to a keyboard now >.>

Been playing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Creepy Atmosphere, haunting music, graphics aren't that great but not too bad, can look infinitely better with mods (like Fallout 3, Stalker is moddable, just 100x easier). Got a few glitches here and there, but it's still pretty stable. Compelling storyline, non-linear gameplay, and you can walk right into a deathtrap without noticing until it's too late.
Epic games...except Clear Sky. Kinda sucked. >.>

i'm currently playing torchlight, the witcher, and elder scrolls IV: oblivion. i cannot wait to get my hands on diablo III and the witcher 2. i have dragon age: origins and both mass effect games. i don't have the urge to play dao and me2 anymore. i haven't even picked up dao's expansion. it doesn't seem to be worth the money. electronic arts has ruined bioware's greatness. they will never make another kickass game. :(

Bought Oblivion. Still can't get into. $25 deal, includes every DLC created, and it still bores me shitless.
