Thought I would take some time to document my collection. It's humble but loved.

This is a boxed set of hardback comics, released in France. La Tour Sombre. The box for the set is in the center, back row. It's very cool and oversized. Special thanks to herbertwest for pointing these out.

My Jae Lee autographed comic. My favorite Jae Lee cover, too. This was signed by Jae Lee at the DT Gathering 2008 in Las Vegas and was gifted to me by wizardsrainbow. :couple:
http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/604/medium/Jae_Lee_Signed_Treachery2.jpg

My Lee Bermejo autographed comic. My favorite all time cover. This was gifted to me by oy-the-brave. :couple:
http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/data/604/LRHsignedbyBermejo.jpg

A quick note here - the above signed comic books are now framed and hanging in my home. I cherish them both and cannot express properly the thanks and sincere appreciation I feel for having received them. wizardsrainbow and oy-the-brave truly have touched my heart with their selfless generosity.

My 2009 Haven Fundraiser auction wins.

I keep watching amazon.fr for the next set... so far, they just have a # 4 available, and nothing mentioned about a next possible box set ! I'm going to hold off in hopes they box up a three volume set to go with this one.

you know what? i'll let you know when i get further informations.

So far, I know that the volume 5 is planned for may (it may change though.. it was written within my review copy of the volume 4)

So still have 2 more volumes to be published before the next set? Maybe in 6 months then? But I've found this set by accident : i didnt know it was published!

turtlex
02-24-2010, 10:18 AM
Brice - They're kind of pricey, yeah.

I found them at amazon.de and they're listed at 39.80 EUR each, and there are 3 of them. That's 53.91 USD each, plus shipping. I was figuring at least $170-175 for the set.

Resident Chris sent me a link as well, but I haven't had a chance to check it for price yet. I'm sure it's pretty close.

Brice
02-24-2010, 10:25 AM

Well, there are only 22 of them graded 9.8 ( there are none graded any higher ) and 2 of those are signature series - though I'm not sure who they are signed by .... I think $250 is high. But they don't come up for sale very often, so he might get that price ... but not from me. :D

And Sam / Brice ... you're right on there! When I opened up the signed book and saw the Batwoman drawing ... I immediately tore into my "reader" copy and checked to see if it was pre-printed on the endpapers. Sure as anything, it was not - it's an original remarque. I just couldn't believe it.

I'm going to get the Jae Lee panel framed - I can't wait to have it hanging up. I'm trying to decide on a matte color, since the art is pencil. I'll update and post a picture once I get it framed.

I've been avoiding all these collector's threads until I got around to doing my own. Now that I have, I"m looking through some of the others.

This one was very intriguing. Not being interested in comic books and foreign editions myself, it was neat to see someone else's area of interest with entirely different things than what I have.
