My true favorites aren't here, though, so I have to settle for choosing one of these.
My true favorites aren't here
And mine absolute favorite is! I'm the only one who has voted for it so far.

There have been many great short stories King has written over his long and prolific career. You can't include every one. Where's "Survivor Type"? "The Ledge"? "Quitters, Inc."? And so on.
Jean, what do the bears like, "All That..."? :)
yes, yes, they do!!! http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/bearheart.gif

Wow. I can't believe my own vote.
The poll has closed and the winner of our inaugural Best Short Story Award, receiving 7 votes (31.82%), is:
"1408"
Nobody said anything about the scariest short story (although it is pretty freaky). This is the best short story, according to TDT.com.
