Due to the large amount of nominations, we must do this semi-final polling to determine which characters will actually be in the running for the final voting for this category. There are only ten slots available on the ballot (board restrictions) and we have fifteen characters nominated in this category that met the minimum requirements. Those characters with more than three nominations will be moving forward automatically.

They are:

Leland Gaunt
Kurt Barlow
George Stark
Tak
Norman
Randall Flagg
Annie Wilkes
Pennywise

Of the following characters only two will advance to final voting, based on the scoring in this poll. Please choose who your top pick is from those listed. This poll will close in one week.

Cujo (Cujo)
Greg Stillson (The Dead Zone)
Mr. Gray (Dreamcatcher)
Atropos (Insomnia)
Charles "Chummy" Burnside (Black House)
Perse (Duma Key)
Andre Linoge (Storm of the Century)

Went with Cujo, but would have been much happier with Henry Bowers or Eldred Jonas. Are these in another category? perhaps minor antagonists?

the CK himself isnt up there?!!?

I think a lot of people held it against him that by the time we met him all he could do was throw sneetches and whine. I know I did.

oh well I suppose so, although I thought it just proved Sai Kings point about how neither evil/ the red or good/ the white is ever as strong as they may appear to be given the fates of mordred n walter and the the dissolving of the ka-tet, I thought that a major theme in DT7 was a lesson in "things fall apart, the center cannot hold" and the CK turned out to be the ultimate bumhug...

Not that I care that much since Tak is up there n hes my favorite

partly because he truly didn't think he was the bad guy. He thought that they were giving a gift.

All right. Looks like the two that will move forward are Atropos and Andre Linoge. Thanks for voting, everyone. :)

Good for Atropos, but I was hoping Cujo would make it. No love for that book at all :(

It's hard to back Cujo over Atropos or the others because they are more in-depth characters with motivations as opposed to a rabid dog that's acting the antagonist because he's rabid. Not that he doesn't make a good antagonist, but he's pretty one-dimensional.
