Due to the large amount of nominations, we must do this semi-final polling to determine which books will actually be in the running for the final voting. There are only ten slots available on the ballot (board restrictions) and we have twelve couples in this category that met the minimum requirements. Those books with more than three nominations will be moving forward automatically.

They are:

Scott and Lisey Landon (Lisey's Story)
Roland and Rosalita (Wolves of the Calla)
Mike and Mattie (Bag of Bones)

Of the following books only seven will advance to final voting, based on the scoring in this poll. Please choose who your top pick is from those listed. This poll will close in one week.

Eddie and Susannah Dean (DT2 - DT7)
Roland Deschain and Susan Delgado(Wizard and Glass)
Ralph Roberts and Lois Chasse (Insomnia)
Ben Hanscom and Beverly Marsh (IT)
Bobby Garfield and Carol Gerber (Hearts in Atlantis)
Ben Mears and Susan Norton ('Salem's Lot)
Stu Redman and Frannie Goldsmith(The Stand)
Johnny Smith and Sarah Bracknell (The Dead Zone)
Alan Pangborn and Polly Chalmers (Needful Things)

I'm sticking with Ralph and Lois. :couple:

I'd be tempted to pick Eddie & Susannah, but like I've said previously...

...if that is a different Eddie in Central Park, it cheapens the whole thing for me, as if Susannah settled for the consolation prize.

Eddie and Susannah, because of all those books - I've only read the DT ones...
(and I found Susan annoying)

Ben and Beverly were great characters, but I didn't get enough about their "couple" relationship to really have an opinion about it. Plus, the two people that do end up happily ever after forget their childhood/early adulthood which I had just spent 1100 pages reading about.

We missed Randell Flagg and Nadine Cross from The Stand. Oh well. I just always like the bad guys.

I especially like the bad girls.

After much deliberation, and not too much surprise I find myself agreeing with Jean again.
Stu and Frannie get the vote. Ralph and Lois come in right after them.

Okay. It looks like all will be advancing except Ben Mears/Susan Norton and Johnny Smith/Sarah Bracknell. The final will go up next week.
