Triple A's from me as well.

I see little to dislike in this book.

And what's that little if you don't mind me asking.

Not much really. I might like it a bit more than I already do if it read less like a children's book, but I also know King's intention was to write it as a children's book and I think he did it quite well. That's about the only "critique" I have for it, and it's not really even anything I'd want him to have changed. I love this book, always have. :)

I am sorry, I can never get around to posting a lot of things I promised to my friends long ago - namely, I know that I said I would post all my frustrations connected with this book; and I really am going to do so, I only don't know when. In short (very short), I am a big fan of books for kids, and it has always been my impression that kids are not idiots; what you right for them can't be any less logical or psychologically/socially/whatever-else true than what you write for adults, and The Eyes of the Dragon doesn't hold water from any point of view, as if he had hoped kids could be duped into believing what doesn't stand to reason. I'll give a detailed analysis later, I promise.

Another non-read. I really need to go to half price books again and just pick up a bunch.
Last time I went, I got Hearts in Atlantis, Needful Things, Insomnia, and Duma Key for $6.00. All of his hardbacks were on sale.

ABA took off some from character development because the only character that was developed at all was Flagg. And, my memory of this character may be muddled with preconcepted ideas about the Flagg character that are not necessarily connected with this book.
