what a difficult book to read
the first 3/4ths are subtle and can seem mundane but the last quarter is one of the most frightening things ive ever read

I don't really remember any development...

Hm, I liked most of the characters, especially Louis and Jud. It's my favorite King book of all time so perhaps I'm slightly biased.

Hm, I liked most of the characters, especially Louis and Jud. It's my favorite King book of all time so perhaps I'm slightly biased. I liked the characters... but they didn't really impress me, not in their quality as characters, you see? It's what happened to them that mattered, not who they were; and in such books as It or The Stand, - or the DT, - it's either both, or (at least for bears) the characters themselves who make everything worthwhile.

idk, my bff jill?

Triple-A.

Not a lot of books have scared me as much as Pet Sematary did.
I love it.

Solid A's. This book will always have a special place in my heart. This one is where it all started for me.

AAB, The ending lost a point with me only because it was too predictable, however, thats what made it so horrible. You almost knew where it was going after Church. Certainly after Gage. You knew it was gonna go all the way, yet you had to watch Louis keep going down the path of self destruction. Painful

In retrospect, I agree with Jean on character development, I think I gave it an A, not because the characters where developed very well, but because they had a huge impact on me. Gage was truly horrifying. I thought the most well developed character was probably Judd.
The laundry lady, and Zelda also freaked me out.

B, B, C. To be honest, I don't remember how it ended. That tells me something...
I do seem to remember not liking the ending so well, though.

A, C, A. There was just no character developement to me. No, but was it needed? I think the book wasn't really about the characters - they were developed just as much as they were supposed to... I gave them a B, because I usually expect more of King as far as characters are concerned, but I would have given a C only if they were developed inadequately, and in my opinion it wasn't the case. They were adequate... just for a good sound B...
