This kinda of popped up in another thread, but I thought I'd start a post here.

"Nominations" for the SEXIEST Female Comic Superhero.

We're talking comic-in-origin, so no posting photos of Lara Croft !

( back your fav up with a single comic image, ie - no pictures of Famke Jannsen as Jean Grey )

Mine would be :

Marvel's ROGUE :

http://images.wikia.com/marveldatabase/images/0/0a/Rogue_Vol_3_6_Textless.jpg

and POLARIS :

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/3133/108351-148069-polaris_large.jpg

Sam, a great choice!!! Psylocke was my third choice!!! I was going back and forth between Rogue, Polaris, Psylocke and Jean Grey.... and Wonder Woman.... and Witchblade... and ....

With Psylocke, I think it's the purple hair !

I had this one in my cache...

Strictly speaking this vamp isn't a superhero. But she has a... certain.... something. No prizes for guessing who she was modeled on either (arguably a little too much actually, although she looked different in her first incarnation in Strontium Dog.)

I give you 2000 AD's Durham Red:

EDIT- I removed one cos you can see it down bellow.

Jessica Drew (spiderwoman) was smoking hot, before it turned out the one I'd been reading about since I got into comics was a skrull imposter
Kinda made me question my sexuality, maybe I've got a thing for extraterrestrials...

As I said, no prizes.
Oh go on then... *Gives turtlex's shell a tickle.* ) :huglove:

That portrait is the one that most looks like her I think.
I have mixed feelings on them modeling a character on an existing celebrity. I usually prefer them not too. I prefer the artist to do something out of their own mind. On the other hand... Angelina Jolie is beautiful and she has a very saucy expression that fits well with the character.

Actually this one is less like Jolie, and is also quite hot.

Exactly when did she stop looking like this :

Guess I have Kirsten Dunst to thank for that.

I'm with you on the modelling superheroes after actually people, but if you had to pick someone... I'm okay with it being Angelina Jolie... Just for the record.

Another "nomination" - you gotta love Jean Grey, what with her sacrificing herself to save the world and all - Dark Phoenix Saga.

Oh, and before anyone asks, she predates the vamp from Bloode Rayne.

This character seems to be a combination of Angelina Jolie and Aeon Flux (especially the clothes). Speaking of Aeon, she might not technically be a comic superhero and she was way too skinny but she could possibly be in this conversation. She definitely was "kinky."

Yeah, a lot of Dredd readers weren't happy with Stallone's depiction.

Incidentally another Dredd movie has been greenlit. Hopefully they'll make up for the last one.

Anyhow, back to the ladies.... yes that Emma Frost is quite something isn't she? (I'm actually reading an X-Men collection with her in incidentally, although the artist doesn't do her as much justice as those pics. I liked her look in Astonishing X-Men though.)

Here is a woman from ComicCon dressed as Aeon Flux. Maybe it is not a provocative picture of the actual Aeon Flux but it may explain why Charilze Theron would not wear a more authentic Aeon Flux costume in the movie. Then the movie would have bordered on porn.

Actually I didn't think that looked too much like her costume in the series but it must have changed some between episodes because I did see this picture:

You should have been at the DragonCon with me one year Pam. There was a beautiful woman walking around the dealer's room wearing nothing EXCEPT a chainlink bra and bottom, would you call that panties? How the hell she walked in that thing without getting something caught I still don't know. One poor woman had three young boys, oldest maybe 12 and youngest maybe 7, and was fighting to keep three sets of eyes covered from this and other such sights. I felt so bad for her cause she was fighting a losing battle. The oldest one was like :scared: and :nana: and :excited: at the same time.

The Cosmic Geek

Wa she dressed as Red Sonja, Sam?

Sam
01-17-2009, 08:47 PM
No. She had blonde hair (poorly dyed) and was just wearing the chainmail outfit. The links were not close together and there was nothing left to the imagination. She had very obviously shaved everywhere beforehand also. It was a very odd and painful sight. It was not erotic or sensual like I'm sure she was going for.
There were quite a few voyeurs and exhibitionists at this particular con though. Hell, I went to one late night party where they had a woman in a velvet catsuit suspended horizontally from a contraption while they took donations to step up and stroke the volunteer. Arms, torso, and legs only though, nothing that was covered by the straps and pads that suspended her. It was a little wild.

That sounds a lot like Callisto from Xena.

I've been to a bunch of cons, but mostly I see Stormtroopers, Vulcans, Klingons, over-weight Spider-Mans, etc.... never any Spiderwomen, though.

I don't really know if she counts, as she doesn't technically have "superpowers", per say, but what about Tank Girl?? She was the "heroine" of a comic book, and had that awesome, "I don't conform with standards" look & attitude.

http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/9982/tank-22.jpg

I wouldn't not count her because she doesn't have superpowers. There's a lot of heroes and villains that don't...Batman and Punisher for instance

depending on the decade i seem to remember that wonder woman didn't have super powers but was more like batman and used devices and stuff...like her bracelets and lariat. although in later years they actually gave her flight without the use of the invisible jet.

Oh certainly. She isn't a superhero, but not due to the lack of powers. I think we can stretch things to include her though. (I should say that as I posted Durham Red earlier and she isn't strictly superhero strictly speaking either. And she DOES have powers. She's not altogether evil, but at the end of the day, she is an active vampire, although not of the supernatural variety.)

Doesn't poison Ivy's kiss kill? Or does she have conscious control of her toxins?

Forgive my ignorance. I haven't read that much Batman, although I like the character. The only real exposure I've had to Ivy was the outrageous performance by Uma Therman in Batman and Robin. (A bad film... although I quite liked Uma in it, silliness and all.)

Ok, this bit from wiki seems to answer my questions:

She specializes in hybrids and can create the most potent toxins in Gotham City. Often these toxins are secreted from her lips and administered by a kiss. They come in a number of varieties, from mind-controlling drugs to instantly fatal necrotics.

She can control what she produces then.

Interesting coincidence. I just read a Witchblade GN. (Witchblade and Tomb Raider to be precise, it's called "Coda.") There a rather saucy shower scene in it with lots of froth. Her waist looks ridiculously thin in it though. A fairly good read too... (although not as good as the book I've just read, (Batman: As the Crow Flies) but that's a different thread. Sexy albino villainess in this one.)

Brainslinger

I read witchblade a couple of days ago only to find a parody in Howard the Duck. What a strange coincidence. (What a rude comic it is! Hee, hee. That anteater gag was just wrong.)

It involves a bracelet called the doucheblade which expands the size of a lady's, 'basooms' (there word not mine) whilst, well, having pretty much the same affect as the witchblade. Skimpy armor, blades, etc.

Very puerile humor, but I'll admit it tickled me. The coincidence is odd though. I read witchblade. Come on here and there are witchblade pictures. Then Howard the duck parodies it. Is this ka, I wonder?

Anyway, I found a website with some doucheblade pics in it:
http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/amuletofpazuzu.htm

Scroll down. I can't access the pic links to paste them here (and scanning is a bit of a bind.) I warn you they're a tad rude. There are ruder pictures in the comic itself though, ones not really suitable for this thread.

Oh, the little critter at the bottom used to actually be Howard the Duck. He has been through changes as you can see. Hee hee.

Only when she taps into her power.

Which she is doing to a certain affect in one of those pictures. That's got to be a misuse of her power surely. (Not to mention dangerous if she is near a lake.)

Yeah, I saw that one ( that I think you're refering to ) and pretty much just thought ....

.... "ouch".

:D

LadyHitchhiker

Yeah I thought ouchy too... but I thought Storm naked seemed more natural, more her... More of the essence of a Storm not being hampered by the likes of clothes.

Storm naked may seem more natural, given her origins, but that's just flat out dangerous. What if it starts raining?

Here's a dream cross-over by Michael Turner ( RIP )...
Witchblade, Fathom and Lara Croft. ( though Lara really doesn't belong in this thread, she's not a Superhero and has no super powers, except being extraordinarily cool )

http://images.wizarduniverse.com/WizardUniverse/magazinepics/geek25.jpg

And from Witchblade # 100.

I just read a GN with witchblade and Lara Croft. Coda. I didn't see that picture though. I guess they must have teamed up more than once (I don't remember the girl with the energy ball.) Very sexy all round* though.

*I just realized after writing it how that could be interpreted. No innuendo intended. ;)

Edit- Ok I just read the post again. Witchblade, Lara Croft and Fathom. Never mind my eyes...

And the second picture is wonderful artwork too.

April? April O'Neil? From TMNT ?

EdwardDean1999
02-26-2009, 04:44 PM
I believe the thread specifically calls for "sexy" women. Never mind the fact that April was a character in TV if she was ever a character in any Turtle comics.

But to humor you, I will willfully violate the terms of this thread by not only posting a non-comic, non-super, non-sexy, and non-hero pic of April O'Neal, but it will be a photograph and not a drawing/painting...

Judith Hoag who played April in the Movies.
http://static.episode39.it/artist/4746.jpg

and another. This was from the arcade game:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/182/397190480_3d4944ecb2.jpg?v=0

and a bonus: From Mirage Comics PRIOR to the TMNT cartoon from the late 80's and early 90's. This version of April was not a reporter. She was a lab assistant to Baxter Stockman.....

That picture PERFECTLY explains it. I remember seeing that artists version of her and I was just like, damn, I wish I was Daredevil tonight getting to sleep with her.

Nice Alisha, very good Elektra example. I've never read Amory Wars, so if you want to post some pics, or even start an Amory Wars discussion thread in the Comic Tower - go for it !

( um, turtlex would be happy if Angelina Jolie played each and every comic character, male or female, in every comic book movie ever. turtlex loves Angie. )

You wish you were Ben Affleck? :o

So strange that in a twisted sort of way, in "real life" Daredevil DID marry Elektra.

a comic book (for sure) form of Leela.. look at those curves! But what I think is so sexy about Leela the most is her personality. She's so kind and caring yet so tough and daring. :D

Spencer - I'm not 100% sure who that is ( is it one of the women from Gen13? Gosh, I haven't read Gen13 in years! ) but we agreed comic images only, can you find a picture in comic book form?

Oh, and yeah, I'm probably the only person on the planet who actually liked the Daredevil movie... correction, I liked the DIRECTOR's CUT of the Daredevil movie... that special edition actually much better captures Matt's angst. I also own the Director's Cut of the Elecktra movie... and it's not half bad... and well, Matt does have a cameo there, too.

Found the reason I used to read GEN13.

Yep, that'd do it for me too. I'd have to plunk my $2.50 on the counter right beside yours.

I remember when Gen 13 came out how huge it was. I had the biggest crush on Freefall.

I've got a bunch of GEN13 Issue #1.
Wonder what they're worth if I get them CGC'd?

That's Caitlin Fairchild of Gen13. Her abilities were superhuman strength, endurance and durability. Here are some other images of her from the series:
