It's weird reading this, I'm watching the end of a programme about guys infatuated with muscle women! (These aren't the luscious comic book women though, it's the bulked up body-builder women. I try not to be nitpicky, but I have to say: I think it's spelt orion. And how do we know Kirk didn't have an affair with one before the original series? I find it strange how characters like the Batman and Batgirl who rely on stealth often have bright colours on their costumes. I.e. if I were to draw Batman I'd tend to go for the one with the black sign directly on the suit rather than the oval yellow background (although the latter looks good). Even then there's the iconic yellow bat-belt. And there's Batgirl with her red bat sign and cloak!

Obviously the main reason is that it looks good, but from an in-world point of view it never made a lot of sense to me.

That makes some sense. Still, they can have the armour withough the bright areas. (Ok, I suppose the pale skin of the exposed part of the face might reflect in some light but it would have to be full on. Those things you could see from further away.) Point is, it's better not to be fired at in the first place rather than pinpointing particular areas.

Without getting too mushy and serious - it's that kind of comic image that really connects with me. Rogue looks so vulnerable... she's taken off her glove, so she can touch him - flesh to flesh, and she looks scared at the same time, too. And Remy just looks so enraptured. When people say they don't understand how comics can tell a whole story in so few pages - this is the kind of image I think about.

I don't know really. I friend of mine when I was young got published as a side story in one of her comic books. I don't know her story or plot, just that she's sexy as hell.
