Look at these words long enough,
And they might just show you the path.
Couple this thought to the next,
Or throw caution to the wind,
And be a Wilder person.
This is my first riddle, so I hope its not too bad.

My first reading of this made me think of Thornton Wilder. Maybe the word "couple" refers to The Matchmaker. I think one of his characters was called Brush. Could this be connected to "plant"?

It is not connected to The Plant, as I have not had the pleasure of reading it. (Since I heard it wasnt finished and not likely to ever be so)
Plant is however a clue.
The answer is right on the Page.
Just look at the bolded words.

Well, I guess this riddle is going over like a led balloon.

I'm sorry, I just can't make any kind of connection between the words.... :(

The phrases dont have any particular meaning.
The bolded words are important.
Plant is a clue
Page is a clue
Led balloon is a clue
That ought to completely give it away.

I KNOW the bolded words are important, but I'm getting NOTHING.
I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say "Zeppelin" because I notice you spelled "lead" without the A, and a zeppelin is an airship that includes a balloon....
I don't think that's the entire answer, if it's any part of it at all, but that's literally ALL I can think of....

Led Zeppelin is on the right track, you are almost there.

Seriously, almost? That close?
Um....
Okay, Jimmy PAGE, Robert PLANT....
But I have no idea what it has to do with the boldened words....

Final Clue:
Look at these words long enough, = STARE
And they might just show you the path.
Couple this thought to the next,
Or throw caution to the wind,
And be a Wilder person.
This is my first riddle, so I hope its not too bad.

All I'm getting is "Stairway to Heaven."
Look = stare (stair)
Path = way
Couple = two (to)
But "throw" and "Wilder"? I'm completely stumped....
Unless:
throw = heave
Wilder = Van (Wilder)....

Exactly!
Sorry, I guess I'm not too good at writing riddles.

Sorry, I guess I'm not too good at writing riddles.
At least you didn't make yours multi-step, like I did with mine--I'm not going to "give up" and give away the answer with that, but I'm going to probably not do that kind of riddle again....
Anyway, I think it's more that I'm unfamiliar with Led Zeppelin and their music (which is no one's fault) than the writing of the riddle.
Chin up. :)

Excellent riddle Browning's Childe. :clap: I had the "to" and either "Van" or "Gene" part, but was too dense to put the rest together. Excellent riddle on your part!
naw, good riddle. I was just dull minded.
