Fund Raising Auctions

I'm going to move the combined thread for the Auction and Giveaway items and break them into their own. :cowboy:

The Fund Raising auctions are going to be amazing this year you guys. We have an incredible list of stuff to put on the block at really cheap prices.

This is THE opportunity to own some collectible books at low prices.

And remember: 100% of the proceeds will go to our Haven Foundation Fundraiser. This is nothing but warm fuzzies up one side and down the other. :clap:

This is so important everyone. Not only are we collecting money for a really good cause, we are also exposing the entire King community to the generosity and loving community that is TheDarkTower.com

Let's show them what we can do :grouphug:

How the auctions will work:



A thread(s) will be created in this forum one week before the auction date so people can be ready--they will be set for one calendar week.

-We may have multiple auctions up at once
-look for the first one coming soon


The auction will be posted in DTbay. Any registered member with over 5 posts is eligible to bid on the item

-This stuff is going to be fun and cheap, so please buy if you can
-If you don't know how to use DTbay, please notify any member of staff


A Marquee with links will be posted
DTbay is an auction platform. The payment is handled post auction. I will contact you with details if you win an auction
Shipping will be media (in most cases) and paid for by the buyer. Usually just an added 2.00 in the US. We'll talk if you are outside.
Your name will be placed in the Grand Prize drawing for any item you purchase through auction. Only once (1) overall
You will receive one (1) entry to the main giveaway for winning the auction. Per auction
If you would more like entries into our main giveaway--look for information on that coming soon.

There is no buy it now on these auctions.

This is to let everyone know that we are nearing the end of the auction cycle of this fundraiser. We have had plenty of great deals and amazing donations this year. My great thanks to everyone involved.

As I type this-auction proceeds account for almost 32.5% of the overall total collected. Very cool.

This is an announcement to let all concerned know that our fund raiser auctions may become a bit interesting after the current set.

People are still very generously donating items and I am taking them all in with pleasure, they will be auctioned as they arrive.

What that means is I will probably be adding new ones off our established schedule. Also, the warning time (announcement thread) and auction duration will be shortened.

So keep an eye on this forum for good deals going fast. The marquee will go to a standard announcement format so I can turn it on and off when stuff comes up. :ninja:

As the fund raiser runs down for the year, keep an eye on this forum for information about how we're going to end it and cut off times for donations.

Is okay. I bought myself a Pink Floyd towel as a consolation prize for losing the auction. I had held off buying it the day before because I already had my entertainment budget bid for The Stand, so... I ended up with a Floyd towel after all.
