Loved it. I loved Rosie like I loved Jessie Burlingame.
(I'm giving out 5's left and right!)

Rose Madder is a 5 if ever there was a 5 to give. It took me awhile to get into it, but once I did I was glad. Definitely one of King's best works.
Wow. I feel bad now because I'm giving this one a 3. I had a very hard time reading it. Not because of the subject, but because for some reason, I kept getting lost and had to read sections numerous times to understand what was going on, especially toward the end and with the Rose Madder sections.
Wow, this will be a tough bracket to be sure. Hopefully Rosie makes it. Totally a five, an amazing book.

one of my all time favorite books by king. a definite 5 from me. :D
You guys rock! :grouphug:
Wow, I cannot believe this is such a divisive book. It's a three-way tie, 5-4-3 (well, one more 5, but still). This is like Insomnia, I guess you either love it or you don't. Too bad there hasn't been a film version made yet. But maybe that's not so bad. It can't be any better than what I imagined as I read this.

5. I really really enjoyed this book.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: Norman Daniels is one of the sickest monsters ever created in fiction. :scared:
Come on people, vote! Only 19 votes so far, when DT4 has had over 40 now? VOTE VOTE VOTE! :panic:

I'm holding off on voting for this one only because I'm not sure what to give it. I read it when it first came out, and honestly don't remember much about it, but I do remember not really enjoying it. I've been meaning to reread this one, but I don't think I'll be getting to it anytime soon.

I gave a 4 too. I really enjoyed it, but it didn't take my breath away.

Gave it a 3.
A few years ago I'd have given it a 1 or 2 - but a recent re-read was reasonably good.

I gave it a 3. Norman's sections were interesting to read and at times quite stomach-turning. I don't see myself being able to make it through a re-read though. It was kind of a quickie for me.

Full marks it was one of my faveriouts.
I'm really surprised at how evenly the vote is spread on this one. I mean people have rated this one all over the map. Weird.

It doesn't surprise me at all that different people of different ages and backgrounds have a wide range of different opinions. I'd find it a hell of a lot more surprising if everybody thought the same thing about every book.
No, I agree. I was just surprised how even it looks. Too bad 18 people haven't read it. Get to it, folks.

Synopsis. Women leaves her extremely abusive husband (who is a police officer) spur of the moment and seeks asylum in a womens shelter. He then starts stalking her. There's a magical element too it as well, but you'd have to read it to really get it.
I gave it a 4. I really liked the book. Contains some of the darkest passages SK has written.
