This one is just so-so. One of the stories is really good, one a real hit, another was just okay, and the last story kept me turning the page.

The Langoliers is probably my favorite novella. I dont remember much about the Library Policeman or The sun dog or whatever it was called, so they couldnt have been too good. Secret Window, Secret Garden was fantastic, and the movie wasnt have bad either. For secret window that is. Movie for langoliers was horrid.

I have to vote never read on this one since I haven't read them all. I've only read Secret Window, Secret Garden, however that is probably easily one of my favorite novellas by King.

Go finish it, Heather. I think it's right up there with Different Seasons as far as quality. That book is a tad better, of course, but this one contains four great pieces, and if you rate "SWSG" that highly, I would think you'd love the rest just as much, if not more.

Ok, I'm going to add it to my list. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

Think of it this way...if it disturbed and bothered that badly. It did just what it was supposed to do. I don't mean this mean, but if could get that emotional of a reaction than it is good...just not the type of story that you want to read. That doesn't make the tale bad.

Hmmm, wasn't sure whether to give a 5 or a 4...so I went with 4 - anything I love I'm never so undecided about :D

By the way, do the Chain Chomps from Mario remind anyone else of the Langoliers? :D

 It sorta detracts from the scariness of the story, but when I first read it I remember thinking...psychotic chain chomps!!!!

I thought of evil Pacmen with teeth.

I also had a hard time picturing the Langoliers as anything other than Pac-Men.

I gave the book a 4. I enjoyed all of the stories, and loved Secret Window, Secret Garden.
