I saw the movie and found it interesting, but since I haven't actually read the book I voted "Never Read."

Saw the film version a long time ago, too. Still need to read it some of these days :)

THIS IS A REAL THINKER. GAVE IT A 4

WALKING THE LINE BETWEEN A SEPERATE PERSON AND A SEPERATE PERSONALITY. FUN TO TRY AND DECIDE HOW KING MEANT FOR THE READER TO TAKE IT BY THE END. CERTAINLY SOME OF THE SCENES WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE LOGISTICALLY FOR ONLY ONE MAN. INTERESTING. THIS IS ONE I WILL HAVE TO READ AGAIN.

I'm pretty sure Ves can read the fine print. After all, she has experience with our government's paperwork. So the turtle may want to be on the lookout.

I read it as a kid and my most vivid memory is the birds on the road.. the the noise the bones gave when the car when on them. I don't remember much more.

Meh. I gave it a 3.

It's certainly not bad, but I think I enjoyed it mostly because King wrote it and I like his writing style more than I enjoyed the actual story if that makes any sense at all.

For some reason I had a really hard time voting for this one. I kept going back and forth between 3 & 4. I finally decided to go with a 3. I enjoyed it, but it's not one of my favorites.

One of the biggest problems that I have with this book is how eerily similar it is to Dean Koontz's Mr. Murder.

I actually gave it a 5, because I thought it was a poignant discussion of King's own issues with writing under the name of Bachman, and the fears that could ensue from that. Plus, sparrows are just creepy anyway with or without the book.

I gave it a 5 out of sheer well written, deep horror. This is one of King's scariest novels.
