My absolute favorite non-DT book by Stephen King! :D

And likely to remain that way!

This was an easy 5 for me. Easily King's best in my opinion, and my favorite book by him (or anyone else for that matter).

Yup, I'm the one "never read" guy. Go ahead, lay it on me, I can take it...

Oddly enough, I was so absorbed into the book that it seemed perfectly normal. I don't know why, but it didn't bother me until long after I had finished the book. A masterful novel and well written. A total 5.

easily a 5. Read it 3 times. 1st time in 2 days without sleep.
I will probably read this one again. For me this had the most memorable characters.

The Mighty Turtle at the end bears a certain resemblance to one of the gardians of the beam. Totally did not understand this part of the book and though it a flop ending to It until I saw it in this light. And the Wheel of Ka keeps turning.

Okay, I feel I must share... When this first came out, I was in a bookstore with a friend and I picked up the book to check out the cover and the backcover, you know - read over the synopsis, etc.

Well, my friend took one look at the author and the title and said with a terrified voice "OH MY GOD, THERE'S A PRONOUN IN THE BASEMENT!!!"

Absolutely a 5.

My favorite King other than DT.

I'm amazed at how attached I got to the characters in one novel. Granted, a very loooooong novel, but still. Brilliant.

This and The Shining are genuinely scary books. I loved this one and even forgave the poor ending with the spider. 5+++++++++++++

If IT is not a 5, I'm not sure what is. One of King's best works.

It had a lot of exciting things and neat concepts, but I was a bit disappointed with it.

Up there with Insomnia, Black House, Rose Madder, Dead Zone, and The Stand in my favorite non-DT book category. Easy 5.
