It's been rumored that a Twice the Power proof exists with a different story than Secret Window, but no-one that I know has ever seen this.

Except for a number of UK proofs that I haven't yet scanned (including the DT ones), that's about it for my UK proof collection. I'll be getting to the missing ones soon.

I want to emphasize that I own all the proofs I have listed. I have pictures of some of the ones I'm missing, but I'm not scanning those here.

Very impressive, John!. It takes a lot of dedication to amass what you have collected.

On the 1st one, the Uk Blaze, is that like the Sampler proof of the Just After Sunset?. Or is it more a promotional pamphlet like the Wizard and Glass pamphlet?. If it's a promo item, I want one!.

Really nice collection you have going, John. The SKELETON CREW proof is really scarce and yours is one of the nicer condition copies I have seen. The NIGHTMARES IN THE SKY proof is also a VERY hard to get item.

I've never heard of a Grant Gunslinger proof--of couse, that in itself doesn't mean much--but if anyone has ever seen one, please let me know.

Several years ago I asked Robert Weiner that question. There was no proof done of the Grant Gunslinger. It its place Robert said that they did "about a dozen F&G's." I have never seen one of these F&G's offered for sale nor do I know of a collector who has one.

Hi Jonah, Welcome to the forums!

You probably won't see any (or at least not many) on eBay until the book is actually issued in November. King's people keep a close eye out for them before then because they are not allowed to be sold. After the book is published, they don't seem to care.

An alternative is to use protective paperback covers like the ones Mr. Rabbit Trick uses (I've also purchased a bunch and they work great). Example:

This company is based in the UK but I imagine similar companies exist in the US.

As far as I know, just mine. I got it (via eBay) from Barry Hoffman of Gauntlet Press, who did the s/l editions. He probably just put them in there as an added incentive. It worked.

In a discussion in The Collector's Forums, I was discussing the two versions of the US proofs of The Regulators. I then realized I had not uploaded the pictures in my Collections thread, so here they are:

I'm still somewhat of a novice collector. I thought Lonely Road sent this to you direct, since it hasn't been published yet and is "Out to the Printer" according to CD.

So, if I may ask, you got this through like Ebay or something similar? Or was it a guy, who knows a guy kinda thing. I ask cause you have such an extensive collection of proofs. :orely:

Wrong! I ALWAYS read the proofs of the new books as I get them--very carefully, but I DO read them. I'll be starting this one tomorrow some time. (That's one of the reason I collect proofs--I get to read the stories before most other people!)
