3. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. It's probably my least favorite of the Bachman works, though I've yet to read Blaze.

I don't care about the message, I thought it had some extremely good parts and I felt like puking when King described the man who's turning into a lizzard. That was pure horror to me.

3. Decent, Quick read. Not certain, but I think this is the novel where King was outed as Richard Bachman. I think that this novel has more of the classic King feel to it, and should probably have his name on it. I think it has the least gut punch of the Bachman books with the possible exception of the Running Man. (And the absolute exclusion of The Regulators) It doesnt stand a chance against Rage, The Long Walk, Roadwork or even Blaze.
