I was just looking up subscription information for McSweeney's and saw some new King work mentioned. McSweeney's is a roughly quarterly "magazine" of, I believe, all fiction. Every issue is kind of a fun themed design experiment. Past issues have come in a cigar box, some are hard cover, some look like a stack of mail, one had a DVD, etc. Sometimes it isn't even a single volume...
Issue 26 should be out this month. 27 is the issue that is listed as having stories by King:
EARLY NEXT YEAR, ISSUE 27:
McSweeney's 27 comes to you as three separate books in a windowed slipcase, presenting six different possible faces to the world, in order to best match your home décor. Book One plunges into the grayish, faintly understood area of the art world involving oddly drawn objects coupled with uncertainly spelled text. Book Two is a never-before-seen 72-page sketchbook by the legendary Art Spiegelman. Book Three collects new stories by Stephen King, Jim Shepard, and fiveish others.
Bev or anyone else in the know, any idea what the featured stories may be?
Singles issues are on Amazon for around $15 each, or subscriptions are available on McSweeney's site http://store.mcsweeneys.net/index.cfm/fuseaction/catalog.detail/object_id/b98cc3a0-53fa-4ed6-a771-e788dc9d9396/McSweeneysSubscriptionbrBeginningwithIssue26.cfm
