Awesome idea for a thread!!!!!

1. Who is your favourite character? I gotta say Eddie Dean!

2. Who is your least favourite character? Oh. I was going to say Mordred..but I changed my mind. Mia. She was just so niave and a little dumb, I think. Single mindedness to the point of annoying.

3. Who are you the most similar to? Ooooh. Great one...I am going to say Susannah because although she was tough and along for the quest like everyone else, she had her softer side and she had the more nuturing side that the other characters didn't.

4. Who is the sexiest? Eddie. Post addiction Eddie. He's like the Robert Downey Jr of the DT world. Not so great when on drugs, but pretty hot when he's clean!

5. Who is the funniest? Honestly its a toss up for me between Eddie & Roland, I mean Eddie DID seave the world with a dead baby joke but when Roland let his funny show it was always more powerful since he rarely did it.

6. Who would you like to kiss? Jake (on the cheek) with a big hug, too. And Oy!!

7. Who would you like to slap? Andy the Messenger Robot!

8. Who would you like to know more about? Ted Braughtigan. I was kind of excited to see him come into the story and get a little more explaination of the low men..but I want more of his story.

9. Who is the most innocent? Shamey!! The sweet, niave innocence that only the 'disabled' posses. I envy him sometimes.

10. Who is the most heartless? More than likely CK. he was willing to put his own SON on the line to further his goals, not caring what may happen to him physically or emotionally

11. Who could you write about in an 10-page-long essay? Well, Roland is the easy choice on that one, we have the most information on him! Maybe it would be interesting to try to get 10 pages down about Susan though....

12. Who is the most powerful? I am going to go on a limb and say the Eddie/Susannah combo. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I think the raw power of their love for each otehr may have been responsible for a lot of their victories.

13. Who is the trickiest? Roland. You nevere really knew what to expect for him. You know he loved his Ka-tet, but you also knew he would throw them by the wayside if he had to. Regardless if he wanted to or not. I think that made him tricky, they loved him & he loved back, but they always had to remind themselves of where they really stood.

14. Who is the most annoying? Mia.

15. Who is the biggest victim of the series? Oy. He wasn't there to gain anything for himself or see anything for himself, he was there because he loved Jake. The loyal pet.

Susannah is my favorite character. Roland stands alone. I can't compare him.

About the kiss... it can be a friendly kiss as well, like the ones girls give each other when they meet in the street.
I can hardly imagine Roland and myself giving each other a kiss like the one girls do when they meet...

For missing so much he should have seen earlier. To wake him up from his mindless cruelty a bit sooner.

And of course, just to test his reflexes. :shoot: :lol:

He is not really innocent, but his ignorance makes him unaware of his failings...which to my mind is a sort of innocence. Basically he learns too slow.

Also, it's not that he's heartless, but his mindless drive towards his goal causes him to do lots of cruelty especially early on in the tale.

well her situation with her family was crazy. i didn't actually like her character so much but i did sympathize.. she was in an awful predicament and was trying to do the right thing then decided to do something else... i think she may be one of the more complicated characters.

i thought the character had pretty good depth and stuff... but i still didn't like her if you can get my meaning.. it's kind of hard to explain... i also didn't like WaG tho because it deviated from the story i was trying to read.. i didn't care enough about Roland's Susan and back story to have to read a whole book about it.

Well, I came to like the character a lot, but I must admit that I had some trouble accepting her. Multiple personality disorder as a plot device is somewhat hackneyed, and I was occasionally uncomfortable with the walking sterotype that is Detta Walker.

(Actually, I liked all of the characters, but if I have to criticize, I’m most bothered by my impression that some of King’s intentions were never fulfilled.)

3. Who are you the most similar to? – Jake (or maybe Ted)

4. Who is the sexiest? – Uma Thurman (lol, Sorry. I don’t find TDT sexy.)

5. Who is the funniest? – Bango Skank

6. Who would you like to kiss? – the Beam boy

7. Who would you like to slap? – Elmer Chambers

8. Who would you like to know more about? – Steven Deschain

9. Who is the most innocent? – Benny (But no one in DT is perfectly innocent.)

5. Who is the funniest? I think Roland can be funnier than Eddie when he shows that side of him, but Eddie is more consistently funny.

8. Who would you like to know more about? Patrick Danville. Just how the hell did he end up in Dandelo's clutches. That's what I would like to know.

9. Who is the most innocent? Oy. He was only there for Jake and followed Jake's orders to the end even though it killed him.

10. Who is the most heartless? Flagg, hands down.

11. Who could you write about in an 10-page-long essay? Any of the Ka-tet.

12. Who is the most powerful? At first I though the Crimson King. After all He was the only one besides Roland who reached the Tower. Then again, a case can be made that Roland is the most powerful. After I think about it all for a while though, I think it was Jake. Think about what he did and remember that he was only a child.

13. Who is the trickiest? Roland

14. Who is the most annoying? Jar Jar...whoops, wrong forum. Mia and her "chap".

15. Who is the biggest victim of the series? Jake. He was only a child and was drawn into a quest that most adults would not want. His parents were indifferent to him, and while he had friends and a father in the ka-tet, he always seemed a little sad to me. The scene where Jake showed his skill with the gun and recited the litaney truly chilled me and made me feel sorry for Jake having been dragged into that world.

I can't remember who i chose in "Introduce yourself" thread long time ago but i'm sure it wasn't Oy back then - but the more i think about the poor fella the more i love him - and feel sorry for him :cry: the part when Oy faded away... still killing me inside :cry:

Oy was brave and he moved at the right moment. But it doesn't mean he had great power. He had good ears and a beautiful heart.
Sometimes the weak can beat the powerful one but it doesn't make the weak powerful. (I don't say Oy was weak it was just an example.)

i agree lettie, oy had a big heart and was loyal to the end. but i would not have called him powerful - but thats the great thing about this thread, everyone has a different opinion on what each of the questions mean, and i think its quite interesting to read some of the answers :grouphug:
