Greetings and salutations! :D

As some of you may know, my name is Fernando and I was born in East L.A (viva la raza!) on May 22, 1986. I’m the oldest of 4, my siblings are – Emmanuel (19), Natalie, (15), and Joseph (9). My father and mother both worked double jobs six nights a week, so the apparent – insurmountable task of raising me and my siblings fell upon my grandmother and grandfather on my father’s side.

I have a fairly good relationship with my family on a general basis, and I have a very tight network of friends that I hang around with. I’m currently working for a company that makes and sells anything related to toddlers, and I’m attending a small college in the evenings to try and get a degree in the IT or interactive-media design fields.

Although on the intrawebs I may give off the impression of being a LOUD and attention-hungry person, in real life I’m actually very quiet and conservative, opting to listen rather than speak. I tend to exaggerate things for humors sake, and I try (oh lord, how I try!) to look on the brightside whenever I find myself in less than desirable situations.

That’s all I can think of to say for now….I’m sure you’re all just dying to hack through my armor, so have at it!

Which is your favourite thread here?

If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with the PAYG...surprise surprise! :cyclops:

feverish! you're one of those few people who are universally loved, what is the secret?

You didn't leave me much room for a modest answer here! I try and treat others the way I would like to be treated, and I give everyone a chance. I also love to interact with everyone whos willing to do so, it fills with gleeeeee! :D

Who's your favorite character in Watchmen?

Wait, there are other people in that story besides Rorschach? :D

Will you ever finish IT?

Yeah, I'm slowly inching my way through it - hopefully I'll be done within the next 2 months.

How old were you when you first smoked weed?

I was a late bloomer - I started at the age of 17. The first time I smoked it is one of my most treasured memories, that day I laughed so hard and so long, I actually started crying because I didn't want to laugh anymore

What's your favorite breakfast food?

It's a tie between Pancakes & Bacon, and Chilaquiles (which is basically sliced-up enchiladas)

About how many hours do you spend on here a day?

23 and a half  I keep the window open all day during work, and I probably log on for about 2-3 hours in the nighttime...so I'd say about 11 hours.

Well, hello:cyclops:... Mr. Parade

Hi there

1. Are you ready for this?

As ready as Boba Fett was for....wait, bad example!

(Video Games excluded) What was your favorite toy as a kid?

I always wanted this Megaman action figure when I was a kid, however, my parents were barely able to feed and clothe us with the kind of money they made, so I knew they wouldn't be able to purchase a $20 dollar toy. What my mom did instead was buy me an imitation-Megaman toy from the .99 cents store and told me to pretend it was the actual thing  I carried that toy everywhere with me, and at night I would place him in the shelf next to my bed so that he could protect me in case anyone tried to break into teh house. :tear: The memories...

If you had to give up the creamer or sugar from your coffee, which one would it be?

Definitely the creamer, what's coffee without sugar!???!

You can only watch 5 movies for the rest of your life...what do you pick?

You bastard! They would probably be -The Dark Knight, Terminator 2, Goodfellas, 28 Days Later, and Pulp Fiction.

Same question as above...This time Bands/musicians? Pink Floyd, Ozzy, Green Day, Rage Against The Machine, and The Misfits

Favorite ice cream?

Cookies and Cream!

You realize that you are in imminent danger. What do you yell out?

YAHOOOEEEEEEEYYYYY!

About how many action figures/collectible figures do you own? What are some of your favs?

I own a couple of action figures, most of them are video game characters. My favorite ones are my Final Fantasy ones - Cloud , Sephiroth, and Vincent from Final Fantasy VII, Squall from Final Fantasy VIII, and Auron from Final Fantasy X. I also have a Solid Snake AC as he appears in Metal Gear Solid 2. :D

How come you didn't have to post a new photo? :orely:

I didn't think it was mandatory, only optional...but I"ll see if I can post one before my time runs out :)

You don't think I'm done, do you?

Of course not! I know only this is only the tip of the iceberg

What brought you to this site?

After DT.net closed down, I went into forum-withdrawal and I joined another site that was started by another former DT.net member. After about a year or so, some weirdo named Matt joined up and said that him and a few of his cuates were planning on starting another DT site, completely seperate from .net. I decided that the opportunity to reunite with old friends and make new ones was just too good to pass up, so I joined up - the rest as they say, is history :D

What is your favorite King book

From the DT series, definitely the Gunslinger. Outside of the DT - Desperation, it was my first King experience and my most treasured.

3) Favorite King character?

From the DT - series - Roland :D
Outside of the DT - A tie between Tak! and Jack Sawyer.

Happiest childhood memory?

When all of the family from both my mother and fathers side met up for this massive family reunion down in Mexico City, sometime in '92. Every relative I knew, and even the ones I didn't know where there. My grandmother on my fathers side is 1 of 12, and my grandmother on my mothers side is one of 9 - so you can imagine how many aunts, and cousins, and distant cousins were there

Did you like High School? Were you part of a "labeled group" such as sportos, shoppies, skaters, etc?

High school was...alright, I only got into a few fist fights during my stay there, and the friends I had were just as whacked-out as me, so it wasn't that bad. I guess going by the way I dressed, I could of been labeled as a 'skater', although I had friends of all labels  By the way, whats a shoppie? :orely:

My uncle Joseph (dad's brother). He was the black sheep of his family, and he was always messing up in school - ditching frequently and getting into fights. One day he decided to get serious and grow up, and he started working hard to get where he wanted to go. Right now he's making bank with checks of 6 figures, and he's still not satisfied - he feels theres still much more room until he hits the roof of his potential, as they say. I really respect and admire him.
at last, my lover!

Que hubo, querida?

Do you have a middle name?

No, I'm a Jr. though.

What is your favorite line from Dodgeball?

Yeah, go ahead, make your jokes Mr. Jokey...jokemaker!

Have you done much travelling?

Not really, I've only been to Mexico, Michigan, and I had a brief stay at Vegas a few years back. I really want to go to Europe for vacation, namely Germany and Italy, they really call out to me.

Have you ever been arrested?

Yes, unfortunately. I stupidly agreed to help my friend tag up a school in the wee bit hours of the night, and after we hopped to fence to get out again, a cop was waiting for us and he cuffed the both of us and took us away. I still remember the look my father gave me when he came to pick me up from the station (chills). I also got a bunch of hours of community service. "Cops don't pass around at this time of the night" - my fucking ass <_<

What's the most embarassing thing that has ever happened to you?

Getting arrested

If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?

Is this multiple choice?

Favorite color?

Midnight Blue.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I can't imagine living anywhere that's not L.A :)

Lemons or limes? (well, Zones isn't here so I had to ask!)

I have to go with lemons - they have that little extra punch!

Favourite Sandman character?

Morpheus! He's my most favorite graphic novel character of all time!

All time favourite Nintendo game?

You mean the regular NES? If so , Megaman 2 - I still replay it to this day on a regular basis :)

Top three hottest celebrity females?

1. Christina Hendricks from Madmen  (melt)
2. Jennifer Love Hewitt (I've had a crush on her forever!)
3. Jennifer Tilly - I know she's past her prime, but....damn

FEEVIE!!! x 1000

Hey you

What is your favorite article of clothing at the moment and why?

My long sleeved pinstriped dress shirt, I love the combination of black & white on clothing.

what was your first impression of sarajean and I when we first pulled into the parking lot?

(Infinitely more beautiful in person  )

and

DAYUUUUUUUUM!!!

um, will you ever drink a cosmo again or I have ruined it for you?

Actually, I had a brutal craving for a cosmo the other day - I saw it advertised in a magazine and I imagined myself drinking that amazing girly drink ;)

What is in your cd player?

Ozzy - Greatest Hits

If you had to pick one NWA song, what would it be?

Definitely 8-ball, it has the catchiest beats.

What cd do you own that would be totally embarrassing if I was looking at your collection?

I don't think I have anything I would be embarassed to show...although I do have to admit that my CD collection does contain certain pieces that would be considered 'not normal' - such as my vast collection of video game soundtracks, WHICH I listen to on a regular basis! :cyclops:

Favorite concert?

When I got to see Slayer at the Universal Ampitheatre a few years back - IT RAINED BLOOD! [/solo]

what was the best day off you had this year and what did you do?

The best day this year was when I met you and SJ! That whole day was just, amazing :huglove:

Definitely Vivi from Final Fantasy 9 - The fact that he's very quiet and shy, yet possesses insane black magic skillz - I love that. :D

can i call you fever in the funkhouse in vegas?

Of course! Feev, Fever, Ferny, Hey Stupid, any of these are fine :)

do you sing in the shower? if so, what's your favorite shower song?

I don't sing in the shower, but I hum really really loud , most of the time it's video game themes or Ozzy songs.

boxers or briefs?

Boxers when I'm at work or just out on the town, briefs if I'm playing sports.

what was your favorite part of the dark knight?
The interrogation room scene with the Joker and Bats - "To them you're just a freak, like me!"

I know which scene you're talking about, but I don't remember what he says  Let me watch that scene again and I'll let you know :couple:

Hola Feverish, your answers ( and the questions asked) are
so much fun to read.

Why thank you! :pirate:

Where did you come up with the name feverishparade and
what does it signify if anything?

It's from The Gunslinger, and more specifically - the fight at Tull :D SK uses it to describe a certain section of that fight in which Roland leads the denizens through the streets as he mows him down with his revolvers. I chose the name because those words really stuck with me throughout the entire series, they're imprinted onto my brain.

What car would you drive, if money were no object?

I'm not really big on flashy cars, but I LOVE the Chrysler Crossfire GT's

http://www.autospectator.com/cars/files/images/2008-Chrysler-Crossfire-Coupe.jpg

Have you ever traveled to Europe?

Not yet! I'm planning on going to Europe sometime within the next 2 years, I really want to go to Germany, Spain, and England.

What's the dumbest thing you ever did?

When I was in Jr. High, someone dared me to inhale/snort about half an inch of Lucas (http://www.bookofjoe.com/images/m_25.jpg) (Powder candy) for $5. I stupidly agreed <_< I cannot even begin to explain the pain I felt after I inhaled it, my scalp felt as if it was being poked by 1,000 needles, my eyes started watering, and my lungs and throat started burning like wildfire; I pretty much made an ass out of myself for $5 :)

Who is your favorite muppet?

Kermit The Frog - He's a pimp! :D

Luke or Anakin?

Anakin! He's much more agile, and has more moves than Luke - not too mention he can choke someone from across the room with his mastery of the dark side of the force, that's just gangster :D

Do you like thunderstorms?

I love them - Sadly we don't get many of them here in Southern California, but when we do I glue myself to the window and watch them unfold.

How many earthquakes have you experienced?

That I can remember, at least 6 or 7. They don't really scare me, most of the time I just stay where I'm at and let it play out. There was this one occasion where me and my brother were playing video games in the living room, an earthquake occured and he rolled under a table we had there. He yelled out to me "Get your ass over here!" , but I stayed seated and kept playing. After everything settled down, he said "What the fuck is wrong with you? Why didn't you get under the table?" "I can't pause this part, and I don't want to do this stage all over again."

Hey Feev. Here come the music questions...

Do you play any instruments?
If so, how long have you played?
If not, which one would you most like to learn to play?
What is the best live show you've seen?
Do you have a favorite concert venue?
If you could see a live performance by any one band/musician (past or present), who would it be?
If you could be a rock star or a movie star which would you rather be?

That's all for now. Thanks for playing. :)

Do you play any instruments? If so, how long have you played?

I don't own any instruments, however most of my friends play in local bands so I know how to play a little of the drums, and bass.

If not, which one would you most like to learn to play?

I really want to learn how to play the guitar , but I don't know if I have the talent or patience to do so. One day, perhaps...

What is the best live show you've seen?

Slayer at the Universal Ampitheater - It was f*cking loud, and relentless. Oceans of people, most of them moshing and/or yelling their lungs out, it was awesome. Also, when they played Raining Blood, they set off these sprinklers with 'blood' (water with red food coloring? Or was it really blood?) and EVERYBODY just went crazy. (tear) Good times.

Do you have a favorite concert venue?

The Roxy-A-Go-Go near Hollywood. They have concerts and local shows there. I saw my friends band play there in a Battle of The Bands (Metal), I also got to see The Killers there a few years ago.

If you could see a live performance by any one band/musician (past or present), who would it be?

I really would have loved to see The Ramones play with Joey at the helm, but sadly fate took him away from us. :(

If you could be a rock star or a movie star which would you rather be?

A movie star. Movies are one of, if not my favorite form of art. I've always been a visual toure de force guy, and the notion that I could make movies and set pieces where the images can stay imprinted into the back of peoples' minds for years to come is very appealing to me.

That's all for now. Thanks for playing. :)

No, thank you for playing. (salute)

Can I cheat a little on this one? My favorite land animal is a wolf , my favorite sea animal is a swordfish, and my favorite aerial animals are bats in all their various forms :cyclops:

Definitely. It's hard to emulate the kind of psycho beats that he busts ... Angel of Death , anyone?

I'm putting these two together since they both have the same answer. My biggest regret and my greatest mistake is that I lost the only woman I’ve ever truly loved because I was too jealous and insecure. I don’t mean to be melodramatic here, but I’ve already come to accept that I’ll probably never find anyone as amazing as her.

if you could do one thing over again what would it be (not necessarily the first two questions either)?

I would do high school all over again, and this time I wouldn't waste my half-reasonable intellect by ditching school and 'living it up' - I would pay more attention to my school work.

how can you be so young and so f'n cool?

Ah shucks  I'm nothing special, I just try to be myself most of the time - except when I'm Batman. Shhh.....

how will you live without flashchat?

Oh, I'm sure I'll find /someway/ to carry on *dramatic back-of-the-hand to the forehead*

if you had to live without the cyclops smilie which other smilie would you pick?

Probably this guy = :excited: It reminds me of me during the TDK midnight premiere :innocent:

if you had no internet and no video games for a week what would you do instead?

I'd catch up on all the graphic novels and 'regular' novels that I have lying around the house. I'd also rally the troops and try to set up a few matches of futbol over at the park.

What is your favorite method of 'smoking'?

I love smoking through blunts - Blunts were my first vessel into the wonderful world of smoking.

2. You can have Boy Blue's Magic cloak w/abilities or all of Batman's gadgets (vehicles excluded, come on, I'm not making it that easy)...what do you pick?

You bastard! In that case I'd probably go with Blue Boy's magic cloak , you just don't mess with something that has the power to withstand dragons' fire, right? :D

Favorite cereal?

Apple Jacks - they taste just like apple!

You can pick any two fictional towns to spend your Summers/Winters in. What two do you choose?

1. Morpheus's castle in the Dream Realm.
2. The Matrix - only if I had all of Neo's powers though :cyclops:

5. Are you ticklish?

Hell yeah! If someone even insinuates (sp?) that they're going to tickle me I'll more than likely start cracking up

6. Who would win in a fight between a grilled cheese and a taco? :cyclops:

The Taco, obviously! :D

7. Favorite pizza?

The Brooklyn style pizza from Domino's, with lots of Tapatio sauce and extra-extra tomato sauce

8. When you were a kid, what was your biggest dream?

To go skydiving and pretend I was flying like Superman....hey, I still want to try that out!

9. What's your favorite t-shirt that you own?

I think Maer asked a question similiar to this...keep up Amandy! My black pinstriped dress shirt...HEY! I'm wearing it rigiht now!

The ability to fly at supersonic speeds. *Daydreams of the possibilities....*

Hardest work with the biggest payoff?

I don't think I follow, Armand. Do you mean what's the hardest job (IMO) with the hardest payoff? Or something that I've done that had the biggest pay off?

Which video game system had/has the best controller?

The Super Nintendo controller - compact, petite, only two shoulder buttons to toggle, and the control pad and face-buttons are easily accessible.

Who do you see as making a positive difference in this world?

I can't think of any one person, it has to be a collective effort. As Ozzy once said "Without each others help, there ain't no hope for us."

Favorite comic book of all time?

Batman # 614 - Punchline! (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/marvel_dc/images/thumb/2/2d/Batman_614.jpg/300px-Batman_614.jpg)

In this issue, Batman finally unleashes all his anger on the Joker, he even gets to a point where he doesn't care if he kills him out of sheer-blind rage.

Favorite Graphic Novel series?

The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Morpheus is probably my favorite GC character of all time.

Favorite Beer?

Corona! With lots and lots of limon! :D

Favorite Booze?

Jose Cuervo - Tequilaaaaaaaa!

Favorite Ice Cream?

Cookies N' Cream

[/QOUTE]

According to my father, my first word was moto (a short way of saying motorcycle in Spanish). His brother owned a motorcycle and he always rode it whenever he came to visit us.

Do you believe in forever live?

I like believe that certain aspects of a person do in fact live on forever. Whether it be through pictures/family albums, habits or facial features passed down, stories of deeds (both good and bad).

Can you open your eyes under the water?

I can, but I don’t - I have this impending phobia of things going into my eyes. It’s so bad, then when I have to put on eye drops or anything of the sort, I usually ask someone to pour them while I hold my eyelids open with my fingers :wtf: Kinda sad, really.

What is your favorite part of Clockwork Orange?

"As we walked along the flatblock marina, I was calm on the outside but thinking all the time..."

The musical counterpoint, the look in Alex's eyes, that poweful imagery - Great stuff :)

What movie would you be pissed if they made sequels about?

I can't think of a stand alone movie...however I would be pretty pissed if the Wachowski brothers decided to continue The Matrix series -

The oracle tells the little girl that she suspects they'll see Neo again someday. I hope this was just something the directors put there as a way of giving us a small notion of a 'happy' ending and not a way to set up a potential follow up series.

I'd go back to the Roman Empire when Ceasar was at the helm, I want to know what it was like to be alive in that corner of time in the world.

Do you believe in ghosts?

Yes, me and my immediate family have had a couple of experiences with the paranormal. Pretty freaky shit.

3. What is your favorite cologne?

Coolwater. :)

4. What is the last song you danced to?

I came out in one of my sister's friends quinceañera a few months ago, and I had to swing dance to Pachuco - it was fun :cowboy:

This is tough, but if I had to pick one song it would definitely be Do You Remember Rock N' Roll Radio? I can listen to that song for hours on end and never get tired of it.

The Ramones (1976) - Blitzkrieg Bop, Judy is a Punk, Beat on The Brat, I Wanna be your boyfriend, I Don't Wanna go down to the basement - that's a pretty formidable line up! :D

I agree. Hard to beat that album. I love the first four albums pretty much top to bottom, but that first one will always be my favorite.

As for a favorite song of theirs, there are two... "Swallow My Pride" has always been my favorite and the one I am most likely to have in my head at any given time. I'm also always gonna love "The KKK Took My Baby Away" because it's the first of their songs I learned how to play.

Freddie Mercury from Queen, Bob Marley, and the man himself - Frank Sinatra :)

A few weeks ago, back in June (?) I believe. I was at work, and as soon as I looked out to the parking lot through the warehouse and saw that it was raining, I immediately ran outside and I stepped on the biggest puddle I could find

I was dating this girl a few years ago, and one time we were drinking and toking at this local show (gig), right? Well, we were both heavily loaded, and she was the one that drove there. After the show ended, she told me she was way too fucked up to drive, and she asked me if I felt good enough to drive...and of course, I had to step into the Macho-esque - "Pssh!! I can drink 10 beers and it wont effect me in slightest! Because I'm a manly man! Ha! Ha! Ha!" - suit. So I (stupidly) told her that I was straight to drive, and we took off. As we were coming off of the freeway, I made a left turn ( I still remember the streets were completely empty and we were going about 15 miles an hour) , and I must have been drunkingly day dreaming for the next thing I know there was a *SMASH* as I smashed into the YIELD sign  What's most incredible is that she didn't wake up during any of this (she just stirred in her sleep next to me) and she didn't notice the nasty dent on the front until the next morning :innocent:

...when I told you my car crash story in my spotlight thread, you said:

I have a similiar story, but that's a question for another day...[hint, hint] and I forgot, so spill it!! :D

DUN DUN DUN! Time to pay up!

Feev,

In Las Vegas they let you move about the giant casinos with an alcoholic beverage in hand.

What is, or what do foresee being, your "walking around" drink of choice?

Most likely a Corona, or a Cosmo - That's right, I'll be rockin' those girly drinks!

:woot: I'll be drinking those Coronas and Cosmos right along with you. http://cache.hyves-static.net/images/smilies/default/smiley_cocktail.gif

It's a close tie between tamales and birria, hmmm

Favorite pie? And if you don't like pie, what about cranberry sauce?

Pumpkin pie, definitey.

Grapes: red, black or green?

Green grapes.

Everyone has a same-sex crush or two...what are a coupla' male celebrities that you have a man-crush on?

My man crush is Christian Bale *sigh* I daydream of a day when me and him can have dinner together at some fancy outing, and when he can't find his Ray Ban sunglasses, he'll forcefully grab me by the color and yell WHERE ARE THEY?! *backhand*

What's your favorite Disney movie? Is it different now than it might have been when you were a kid or have you always loved the same one?

My favorite Classic Walt Disney movie is The Sword in the Stone, I love the mythology behind the Arthurian legend and Merlin is one of the coolest characters ever. My favorite modern Disney movie is Toy Story - I can probably recite that movie from start to finish :D

What's your guilty pleasure?

I know the lyrics to a lot of Britney Spears songs... Don't judge me!

Do you believe in ghosts, and/or have you ever seen one?

I do, actually, and I've had a couple encounters with the supernatural. I remember once, I was lying awake at night in my room, it was around 3 a.m. I sat up in my bed and I looked toward my door, and I saw that there was a dark silhouette standing by the edge of the bed. Whoever/whatever it was, it was breathing heavily, and it was just standing there staring at me. At first I thought it was my brother, and I asked him 'What do you want?' A few seconds passed, no answer. I asked the question again, and still no answer. It was just standing here, chest thumping, breathing heavily, still staring at me. I decided to go for my night light and when I turned it and looked back, there was nothing there.

I have a couple more stories, I'll post them later on in that ghost thread that Dags started. :)

Hmm, off the top of my head? - Hiding my friends backpack on the 2nd floor of the science building and not telling him where I left it

What is the kindest thing you've ever done?

I can't think of one extraordinary thing, but I do little random acts of kindness here and there.

What is the cruelest thing ever done to you?

In 4th grade, I was passing notes back and forth to one of my friends, telling him that I was 'in love' with the girl next to him (her name was Dana), and he showed her the mother$*SD*#@! note and started laughing about it :arg:

What is the kindest thing ever done for you?

Can't think of one specific thing.... :/

If you could ask one question from God (if there is any) /or someone or something that knows the answer to every question what would it be?

I think I'm going to have to echo what Jerome said and say 'Are you disappointed that I don't believe in you?'

Can you cook?

I think O asked this... :orely:

I can't cook a wide variety of things, but the few things that I do know how to cook, I can cook very well! You better believe it sistah'! :D

When Patrick ordered the mini corn dogs

Just an observation here, Feve. Every once in a while I catch your av pic out of the corner of my eye and I think it's a wedding pic of you and Maer! She has on white and the top of that picture on the wall behind her with the highlight of her hair looks like a veil and although I know you have on a black t-shirt with a skull on it, it kinda sorta looks like a tux.
